Sarah and Brian brought in
their new cutie Emmett for newborn photos back in November. (I’m actually
having a hard time believing we’re already through the first quarter of 2022! Is
that just me?) He was a total sweetheart!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiyoh2kvs_PVacOMiyXbdrQbud0jE0-Y633oO1R-Ozov0T56dchUK3syrEsz3yJ-dxYt-6z3LYPoEhDlDZ2G-jzIsqH14TEvXD7PuByyFiy3q0b9hbB2leG3Bp_rYo1eHe4twKioCdLdSPN6etofvQNnsbSi0iJrYdxAMCUIIEplaiFvcBNnmAIIy7Zg/s900/SCP.EmmettJonesNewborn.112221-22.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon newborn photographer, baby boy sleeping on tummy" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiyoh2kvs_PVacOMiyXbdrQbud0jE0-Y633oO1R-Ozov0T56dchUK3syrEsz3yJ-dxYt-6z3LYPoEhDlDZ2G-jzIsqH14TEvXD7PuByyFiy3q0b9hbB2leG3Bp_rYo1eHe4twKioCdLdSPN6etofvQNnsbSi0iJrYdxAMCUIIEplaiFvcBNnmAIIy7Zg/s16000/SCP.EmmettJonesNewborn.112221-22.png" /></a></div><p>Parents are always welcome to bring special items from home.
In this case, mom and dad brought a colorful quilt that a family member had
made. Even though our session took place in the fall, the quilt’s bright colors
reminded me of spring! It also gave us a beautiful splash of color, since most
of our photos were with all-white backgrounds. A blue beanbag and heart from my
studio collection of props matched the quilt perfectly.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNz1skrdDe7N2pnXjUSJdmoEwTTGdTJemjGyX5G4_KTCsPF13HfwkLI_zM6j-KPHx5mEFWTnoy6Jr78keKapEepcUWVca0flCa0AdDP0WqJPk3NYN3h4Dd9HnbmPy02l4o-T3o3CZNZ5SSCTECuWtb3cPA7tEVOHOc9JgUUUQ1i0UFkcrGEWsQQKWylw/s908/SCP.EmmettJonesNewborn.112221-30_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Photo collage of newborn boy asleep on handmade patchwork quilt" border="0" data-original-height="908" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNz1skrdDe7N2pnXjUSJdmoEwTTGdTJemjGyX5G4_KTCsPF13HfwkLI_zM6j-KPHx5mEFWTnoy6Jr78keKapEepcUWVca0flCa0AdDP0WqJPk3NYN3h4Dd9HnbmPy02l4o-T3o3CZNZ5SSCTECuWtb3cPA7tEVOHOc9JgUUUQ1i0UFkcrGEWsQQKWylw/s16000/SCP.EmmettJonesNewborn.112221-30_WebReady.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibp15CbZrRvxWlQDSjIzo0Gc8xdxoFQOX_pqp8X09gJskzp3p-7MIfKRpe_Zhf6mUwOILYbRg77smwA8hPIIEyVDl9vIZE8g5PBzmu0bMR0SRYH6KzXLGILSXMGFV6-5TZK9U2efceHmMKszl5yjMMg3Aev0WeA7ePAWKZ-rm7OoegUnwX1QeaDdkzOg/s900/SCP.EmmettJonesNewborn.112221-27%20copy.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Black and white photo of baby boy asleep on his back with arms outstretched, Eugene OR newborn photographer" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibp15CbZrRvxWlQDSjIzo0Gc8xdxoFQOX_pqp8X09gJskzp3p-7MIfKRpe_Zhf6mUwOILYbRg77smwA8hPIIEyVDl9vIZE8g5PBzmu0bMR0SRYH6KzXLGILSXMGFV6-5TZK9U2efceHmMKszl5yjMMg3Aev0WeA7ePAWKZ-rm7OoegUnwX1QeaDdkzOg/s16000/SCP.EmmettJonesNewborn.112221-27%20copy.png" /></a></div><p>Since this newborn photography session took place just a

She was so cute!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiTbRIZt2HKXLsD4ZFjAYeZyxyGDbZ3V3RjOIq4nUgDKDrLMdEtbBZ0qLVU42qoLkEkxRvInqFX0ogR3xbO5NInLz3d27HvBHLEyQMVmhoveplaW6J2ngh_-1W-W_oGtfRRl8N39K2-96f4N-sbiE2KnE1gvjijj29_zLI6qiXIpBlgLI_SkA_ZobVZng=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="newborn girl in froggy pose on pink lace, Eugene Oregon newborn photographer" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiTbRIZt2HKXLsD4ZFjAYeZyxyGDbZ3V3RjOIq4nUgDKDrLMdEtbBZ0qLVU42qoLkEkxRvInqFX0ogR3xbO5NInLz3d27HvBHLEyQMVmhoveplaW6J2ngh_-1W-W_oGtfRRl8N39K2-96f4N-sbiE2KnE1gvjijj29_zLI6qiXIpBlgLI_SkA_ZobVZng=s16000" /></a></div><p>I had met Erin before and it was great getting to know Dylan
as well. Since both parents were there I convinced them to do family pictures
even though they’d decided they were going to bypass those. A lot of times new
parents feel super tired and are worried they don’t look their best, or they
were too tired to get ready before their little one’s <b>newborn photography</b>
session. We’ve all been there! New babies are a lot of work, but family is
everything and I really believe it’s worth it to have photos with your little
one no matter what. And, as I told Erin and Dylan, the beauty of digital images
is that there’s no commitment. You can choose whether you want to <a href="https://www.shannachessphotography.com/investment">purchase</a> them
or not, so there’s no harm in taking a few just in case! They ended up loving
the family images as well, so I’m really glad we did those shots, even if it
wasn’t quite according to plan. They will treasure those pictures forever!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiGMMFfAyCi24H3gpr2ZWfNn1YMYemxWO_3pxR23HHxgJraLpySG0U8LGZsyzu0q4wRgzDwBXOY9MUjbGGCoyir_K4XxzcR_JcfDK515129foXxCuhkc3dsMoUqbDCv2W0gvfLbzuDh0f1N6PQOU6yE70XQ_YIttf2amQzj6lEjKryVJaaEbgD8Q4_irg=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="baby girl asleep in bucket in Eugene, Oregon newborn photography studio" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiGMMFfAyCi24H3gpr2ZWfNn1YMYemxWO_3pxR23HHxgJraLpySG0U8LGZsyzu0q4wRgzDwBXOY9MUjbGGCoyir_K4XxzcR_JcfDK515129foXxCuhkc3dsMoUqbDCv2W0gvfLbzuDh0f1N6PQOU6yE70XQ_YIttf2amQzj6lEjKryVJaaEbgD8Q4_irg=s16000" /></a></div><p>Of course, most of this <b>newborn photography</b> session was
focused on baby. Charlotte had the best lips and such beautiful dark hair. We
picked out some really pretty rose pinks and mauves and combined them with
neutrals for a very warm, feminine look. Bucket poses are really popular right
now, so we did some of those, and we also used my wooden heart bowl (another
client favorite) surrounded with flowers.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgjpG7lR7QKPhxo1OPTDA3UceKzj-KmvOasA1-n743oxsTDGWPZ4SWqLO-bH7ieI011mzltL6FZWfRej27R7PqaEiewfYdXKHoFUEXQGXaH8zd83zRoaFs6_yo7BeJ-2vO_uZ2Dg6wBqv1sA2LScDgLcMegmlsUU6qXisI2zSqixm1U5rpb4T9R92tslw=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Swaddled newborn lying in wooden heart bowl surrounded by flowers" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgjpG7lR7QKPhxo1OPTDA3UceKzj-KmvOasA1-n743oxsTDGWPZ4SWqLO-bH7ieI011mzltL6FZWfRej27R7PqaEiewfYdXKHoFUEXQGXaH8zd83zRoaFs6_yo7BeJ-2vO_uZ2Dg6wBqv1sA2LScDgLcMegmlsUU6qXisI2zSqixm1U5rpb4T9R92tslw=s16000" /></a></div><p>I loved the way Charlotte liked to wrinkle up her little

right! Whether you keep it simple with just a couple of swaddles or go all out
with hats and outfits, it’s always fun to play dress up with these little guys. </p><p>There are so many options to choose from at the studio, so I’d definitely
recommend that you <a href="https://www.shannachessphotography.com/newborn">take a look at my newborn gallery</a> and past blog posts to get
an idea of the variety I have available and figure out what your own

photography session! Corina and Joshua brought their new bundles of joy—a boy and
a girl—to my <a href="https://www.shannachessphotography.com/studio">Eugene, Oregon photography studio</a> for pictures. Kenadee and Kash
were absolutely adorable!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjBPkIrmfdVTVMbyWWVdaStlyAQoull2UrzCwJvR_TQ9mW1P85nJz3r60XHKb-xyLfUJEToj6YFSsQbi8YzB9MBm6g0KgkYlxM4oVhtXgyRqdxAUzV6wEdy3ww_Dsx0Y-excJ-tsp7mhLpC3Ma-rhhqddDZziM4ENLlnYeGEWlnXYu9b9ayKcSPuP04FA=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="twin baby boy and girl dressed in Oregon Ducks jerseys" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjBPkIrmfdVTVMbyWWVdaStlyAQoull2UrzCwJvR_TQ9mW1P85nJz3r60XHKb-xyLfUJEToj6YFSsQbi8YzB9MBm6g0KgkYlxM4oVhtXgyRqdxAUzV6wEdy3ww_Dsx0Y-excJ-tsp7mhLpC3Ma-rhhqddDZziM4ENLlnYeGEWlnXYu9b9ayKcSPuP04FA=s16000" /></a></div><p>Newborn photography with twins is always so much fun! For
reasons of both safety and convenience, I have an assistant lend an extra hand when
there are two babies. This ensures that both little ones are totally safe,
secure, and comfortable through the entire process.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEifxdqV9EfsYQz5cFAuB5dzIPYI-JuhlpmGaN8cvV2ZXctI7HyWEjSxmEqEGE_97nPZDiNcdhfNiMQlIL3xC5PBi1yWqVe-xhXdBrJLyPTq1YL0vZBddOY0_LamYJ3NIMjZnD-7ZZE02ngSVWLE1I5xS7rzGf3hHD2dLVD-6ggkMU32QLzfEMK25Iwoyg=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn twins brother and sister on neutral backdrop posing for Eugene Oregon newborn photographer" border="0" data-original-height="898" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEifxdqV9EfsYQz5cFAuB5dzIPYI-JuhlpmGaN8cvV2ZXctI7HyWEjSxmEqEGE_97nPZDiNcdhfNiMQlIL3xC5PBi1yWqVe-xhXdBrJLyPTq1YL0vZBddOY0_LamYJ3NIMjZnD-7ZZE02ngSVWLE1I5xS7rzGf3hHD2dLVD-6ggkMU32QLzfEMK25Iwoyg=s16000" /></a></div><p>Although my full newborn photo sessions come with the option
of doing parent/sibling pictures, mom and dad wanted to just focus on the babies
and not do any family images. Corina also told me she’s not a big fan of hats
and headbands, so we kept it pretty simple.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhov6pDHJZ6mhMrbdE53q5jWL7g0cqhk_oZ6tRF47Yw3zAJoatcsJOj_Alk522NqodelZ5bZ6_1l3FBI2RUcxC2Oe8CuMPM0W82m-3VzjDlWwuvkAJle3Xsvi4rzLTfMyFHmn9ziHQ0N8O05vUlu1xL3OT81QQ4pec7eolvgpazfCeh6hfVqwm-3TUyxg=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn twin brother and sister wrapped in white swaddle together" border="0" data-original-height="580" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhov6pDHJZ6mhMrbdE53q5jWL7g0cqhk_oZ6tRF47Yw3zAJoatcsJOj_Alk522NqodelZ5bZ6_1l3FBI2RUcxC2Oe8CuMPM0W82m-3VzjDlWwuvkAJle3Xsvi4rzLTfMyFHmn9ziHQ0N8O05vUlu1xL3OT81QQ4pec7eolvgpazfCeh6hfVqwm-3TUyxg=s16000" /></a></div><p>When it comes to color schemes for twins newborn
photography, there are a ton of options—especially when you have a brother and
sister! Dressing baby boy in blue and baby girl in pink is a popular choice, as
is choosing gender neutral colors like green or yellow. For Kash and Kenadee we
did almost exclusively neutral colors like white and gray. We did add a splash
of yellow, and of course our Ducks sports team outfits! (If you need more
inspiration on colors and setups for boy and girl twins, be sure to check out <a href="http://shannachessphotography.blogspot.com/2019/08/eugene-oregon-twin-newborn-photographer.html">this

photo session. But there’s no reason you can’t choose a couple! Mom asked for
baby pictures with rainbow baby, moon and stars, and fall themes, and we were
able to capture all of them. Aila was super cooperative as we changed setups,
switched out props, and got her in and out of various swaddles.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiumi_2d_2vItWGlf4m96oSbcvwnT-z7SYKhviGaJiLaY22Edc-UyRzNzVGm5dScd3U6g3vEXwYNJDu2aBybxVAST0d6wORY4vcLjz4QV9AgeZ-g03L4WPZUUUK0nbkk3ab5P9LR6fLnS_s3xv48XycF0cKeNUTsIzn794h8jTCTbK82aIlMCQ2cuCeLQ=s900" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon newborn photographer, baby girl with moon and stars props" border="0" data-original-height="899" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiumi_2d_2vItWGlf4m96oSbcvwnT-z7SYKhviGaJiLaY22Edc-UyRzNzVGm5dScd3U6g3vEXwYNJDu2aBybxVAST0d6wORY4vcLjz4QV9AgeZ-g03L4WPZUUUK0nbkk3ab5P9LR6fLnS_s3xv48XycF0cKeNUTsIzn794h8jTCTbK82aIlMCQ2cuCeLQ=s16000" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgCOStS94PiXOJlO3xDIH8TWfASi_ujGTubOY0x0_0kEz6pcblixlDrA7kcVaEqRo2p9RCBoaHYPmSEw3fkBAMVdBPtodZ5Cz0KvQiypeiM30Kp9jXXZoFJOSdaysvRJUbDVXUHNnpV_cKpetfxw1TckkpFiB0sV9_uUC1xwJIeCALFO_TvQ7jMX-0xFA=s900" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn girl with rainbow flower crown, rainbow baby photography near me" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgCOStS94PiXOJlO3xDIH8TWfASi_ujGTubOY0x0_0kEz6pcblixlDrA7kcVaEqRo2p9RCBoaHYPmSEw3fkBAMVdBPtodZ5Cz0KvQiypeiM30Kp9jXXZoFJOSdaysvRJUbDVXUHNnpV_cKpetfxw1TckkpFiB0sV9_uUC1xwJIeCALFO_TvQ7jMX-0xFA=s16000" /></a></div><p>Since we were working with several different themes, we didn’t
really stick to a particular color scheme. Mom just picked out whatever caught
her eye and we ended up with a really fun and beautiful variety of pinks,
purples, yellows, and neutral colors in addition to our themed pictures. When
it comes to choosing colors and props, it really is all about how you’re going
to use your finished newborn photos. Some people like to do complementary
colors because they’re going to have several photos displayed on one wall, they
have a particular decorative style in their home that they want the pictures to
match, or they want all the photos to look like they belong together in a photo
album. But if you’re going to use your pictures in a few different ways, sometimes
choosing 3 or 4 colors is the best way to go.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEihCNC0PtnrIdRbSlIrEpplCxyiLkNs3kgIl5Xr_kHgR2WRIiN96zdn2bnlzQCz1Qa7HZ1Kwsa_btI8-GsZcjPjpoPBxALU8PYuv5wm2oCeTyoXImsxrgmWZh8p7ezcRv9bxdQhZflBHkhwhoN8RGf12vfA0YdFyyGeLEnlH2pL5y25ESDOql3jZtl4HA=s900" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Black newborn girl posed in Eugene Oregon photography studio" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEihCNC0PtnrIdRbSlIrEpplCxyiLkNs3kgIl5Xr_kHgR2WRIiN96zdn2bnlzQCz1Qa7HZ1Kwsa_btI8-GsZcjPjpoPBxALU8PYuv5wm2oCeTyoXImsxrgmWZh8p7ezcRv9bxdQhZflBHkhwhoN8RGf12vfA0YdFyyGeLEnlH2pL5y25ESDOql3jZtl4HA=s16000" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhz9c31wTZLqgKA9VteCjFPH3n5zWlho4DwODgkyu4NIh_mAtQ1C4CLUFaACWmlpAchZm_wdh_UU_ILuXIkEBZcMIjoABORnVO_dR8QP4GvylCy0Z7mrVGVHXrXVS2SkO3cTEn7GENjtpDEPb8mBOIgBbRc_YIDV0JCo3l0RJnB7NOSoCESAQ1w95Ph2Q=s1080" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn and family photographer Eugene OR" border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhz9c31wTZLqgKA9VteCjFPH3n5zWlho4DwODgkyu4NIh_mAtQ1C4CLUFaACWmlpAchZm_wdh_UU_ILuXIkEBZcMIjoABORnVO_dR8QP4GvylCy0Z7mrVGVHXrXVS2SkO3cTEn7GENjtpDEPb8mBOIgBbRc_YIDV0JCo3l0RJnB7NOSoCESAQ1w95Ph2Q=s16000" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiyMw2StlkMceL3T8hPtItjhmrEKebQBHSyRTBOX0oHYUk7BJExHHGFd_e6mFHpFCYcwfDzsG76KEzTNnMlM2ongGS1TU-vyhaMuNLzvt1BHN2eIzw1BlkI2avIuQ6VJHR2ZLhJRgZHxCdYZq07XzTAwU4sUJhjVGSruOj1NDSdmSil94hnGlSm1VKZTg=s900" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Best Eugene Oregon newborn photographers, infant girl wearing white headband" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiyMw2StlkMceL3T8hPtItjhmrEKebQBHSyRTBOX0oHYUk7BJExHHGFd_e6mFHpFCYcwfDzsG76KEzTNnMlM2ongGS1TU-vyhaMuNLzvt1BHN2eIzw1BlkI2avIuQ6VJHR2ZLhJRgZHxCdYZq07XzTAwU4sUJhjVGSruOj1NDSdmSil94hnGlSm1VKZTg=s16000" /></a></div><p>Mom also brought her own baby blanket so that we could get some

It was so fun to have this
little sweetheart and her family back in my Eugene, Oregon photo studio again.
I have been photographing this group ever since big sister Violet was a newborn.
It’s been such a pleasure getting to know them and helping them capture the big
milestones in their family’s life!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh_ZZuU7c5Box8YXnte5l2JLwFVpOXfCcnQ9sYcMrdXZGkyw_wRKLbgPlFuWEsW3wxbnkta_GiIXoh_DdD8CVDmwd_H5ft9ST0ATSAoUR8Qc60Hgth0lQNLwwLo7SjEVmH3EPKsGvGVlD2JC5cAKrH_c0ijc3fIvKYiKhUhW62fGQeozKJ0iX9ScLarpg=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Baby girl standing in Eugene Oregon photography studio with cake" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh_ZZuU7c5Box8YXnte5l2JLwFVpOXfCcnQ9sYcMrdXZGkyw_wRKLbgPlFuWEsW3wxbnkta_GiIXoh_DdD8CVDmwd_H5ft9ST0ATSAoUR8Qc60Hgth0lQNLwwLo7SjEVmH3EPKsGvGVlD2JC5cAKrH_c0ijc3fIvKYiKhUhW62fGQeozKJ0iX9ScLarpg=s16000" /></a></div><p>This time we were celebrating their youngest daughter’s
first birthday with a cake smash photography session. It was extra fun to have
Jacoby and Violet with us too! For some reason, although I do a lot of cake
smash sessions, it’s almost always just baby and parents who come to the
studio. Maybe because they want the focus to be on the birthday boy or girl—but
I think it’s a great idea to get family photos at the same time. After all, if
you’ve got one kiddo being photographed already, what better time to get some
adorable sibling photos, right? We even took a little time out to get
individual portraits of all three kiddos plus some family shots.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgvsgyIGavycyPn1bb6LZC8sVdyTdP760VC9vmOrJf0W2BhAeDUQA3zaW2_kjCs2D0mKOYah0-6sTbqhoyVtAZIIh2U1eHelxOtHa0S7ZU7Ojji3v5_01gS4fNj_snGnxXeeYLx0KzLUpu2dABEHc5AztvcWb_0J2y9GZ5gIDTQXNsTqhk-yBrORHH7tQ=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon family photographer, baby girl with parents and older siblings in studio" border="0" data-original-height="755" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgvsgyIGavycyPn1bb6LZC8sVdyTdP760VC9vmOrJf0W2BhAeDUQA3zaW2_kjCs2D0mKOYah0-6sTbqhoyVtAZIIh2U1eHelxOtHa0S7ZU7Ojji3v5_01gS4fNj_snGnxXeeYLx0KzLUpu2dABEHc5AztvcWb_0J2y9GZ5gIDTQXNsTqhk-yBrORHH7tQ=s16000" /></a></div><p>Olive was the cutest thing. I loved her little tutu and big

I don’t know about you, but it
felt to me like 2021 went by in the blink of an eye. I had so much keeping me
busy as a mom and as a photographer—all great things, and I’m looking forward
to new experiences and memories in 2022!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgw8NGUGiZrowJw-aH6VH5sBHU8P9xHoBsLNvoPRS5-2vus0l4sHPzDIYE5aTteYA7XxFfwZeBdPvzgxouobwVTkF-RzVHaT8zm-OMhHZhYg_cqIKSGjb1phSDdtrtzYxN8NQ53xzKIssPb4s-wyn2cD_YO-sNLcmeIfsYnEkDZr8-odKnpApOh0KHfSQ=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer, baby boy holding rainbow heart" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgw8NGUGiZrowJw-aH6VH5sBHU8P9xHoBsLNvoPRS5-2vus0l4sHPzDIYE5aTteYA7XxFfwZeBdPvzgxouobwVTkF-RzVHaT8zm-OMhHZhYg_cqIKSGjb1phSDdtrtzYxN8NQ53xzKIssPb4s-wyn2cD_YO-sNLcmeIfsYnEkDZr8-odKnpApOh0KHfSQ=s16000" /></a></div><p>The new year is a time for new beginnings, so what better
way to start it off than with a post about a <b>newborn photography</b>

reminded of the blessings of new life almost every day. It’s just one of the many
reasons I love capturing the first days with these sweet little ones!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjEEGqg-pVks83gskZx7PeDf-0QwkjKUP20RT6Ehe1VX8MYCq_B69AKD35nrN60S4osc_cm654UbsgzmZi07EXanLbvBYInr4oxVI1Wki3wovEJhMZachnQJiNG2DC8zFz0ov-q8j76BSYy6IYDd8QJFGsPE1tHKSd_g9-jyvNq8uqNzS2SsfW_CAAsGA=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Infant boy asleep in Eugene Oregon newborn photo studio" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjEEGqg-pVks83gskZx7PeDf-0QwkjKUP20RT6Ehe1VX8MYCq_B69AKD35nrN60S4osc_cm654UbsgzmZi07EXanLbvBYInr4oxVI1Wki3wovEJhMZachnQJiNG2DC8zFz0ov-q8j76BSYy6IYDd8QJFGsPE1tHKSd_g9-jyvNq8uqNzS2SsfW_CAAsGA=s16000" /></a></div><p>Nakayla and Joseph brought new baby brother Bryson to my <b>Eugene,

This was the first time I’d met this family, and I loved them immediately! They
were so sweet and loving with each other, and big brother and sister did an
absolutely stellar job participating in their little brother’s newborn photos!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhE-wjTDxjwRbuOYknH9JeJFXSMiE_8H-E17NmY_GGxTYouc0PPvkGa0sP7gCTImQCiMUfWgDgE2T4M4kZV5GbR4R9HW6UeORWYZ5OJL5jsAHOgYVaZ8_ybbDdBWP97F1hkfEGAfi6iLDGg3OedtCKOwhV2HpIXgmPsO4SUkkK2PEiIeqhSnWjrRowYHQ=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn photos with parents and siblings in Eugene Oregon photography studio" border="0" data-original-height="659" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhE-wjTDxjwRbuOYknH9JeJFXSMiE_8H-E17NmY_GGxTYouc0PPvkGa0sP7gCTImQCiMUfWgDgE2T4M4kZV5GbR4R9HW6UeORWYZ5OJL5jsAHOgYVaZ8_ybbDdBWP97F1hkfEGAfi6iLDGg3OedtCKOwhV2HpIXgmPsO4SUkkK2PEiIeqhSnWjrRowYHQ=s16000" /></a></div><p>I also loved the colors this mom and dad chose! I think
green is so pretty for both boys and girls, and using it gave us the perfect
excuse to incorporate some plants into our session. I’ve also found that
earthier shades of green, like olive and sage, are almost as flexible as
neutrals, so they go beautifully with a wider variety of other colors. We used green
mostly with quiet colors like gray, white, and light brown for these baby pictures,
and it was a great choice!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj4LuLsL5YfiHwVG3JBXAelXYqrSVm_y5vos_B8Qicxj6a8SytpJ07FD2GSU-2SuIe9K7mqVPGE7KNp02SRaOlhYRE59_R6ZMvBvG00W3yt2HTNyVZ-SaG1Q-I_XTMkIkP7DXC27WJ_1PmYVmtEr4dWmw2ElyVyxTxn4cGj1uG7uf-IGmZTNs1Grd9Uuw=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn boy photo session with greenery, best Eugene Oregon newborn photographers" border="0" data-original-height="891" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj4LuLsL5YfiHwVG3JBXAelXYqrSVm_y5vos_B8Qicxj6a8SytpJ07FD2GSU-2SuIe9K7mqVPGE7KNp02SRaOlhYRE59_R6ZMvBvG00W3yt2HTNyVZ-SaG1Q-I_XTMkIkP7DXC27WJ_1PmYVmtEr4dWmw2ElyVyxTxn4cGj1uG7uf-IGmZTNs1Grd9Uuw=s16000" /></a></div><p>So glad I had the chance to meet this beautiful group and

<p class="MsoNormal">I loved the deep, non-traditional colors Faith chose for her
daughter’s newborn photos. I hardly ever get to use brown at all, and
especially not for baby girls. But it can be such a beautiful color! We offset
it with some cream flowers and wraps and it turned out looking so rich and
beautiful. And the rust color gave me all the cozy pumpkin spice vibes! Although
there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the traditional pink for girls and blue
for boys, you really do have so many color options available. So get creative
and don’t be afraid to try something different! I’m always happy to point you
to props and outfits in the studio that would go well with your chosen color theme—no
matter what it is!<o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjmsTtLqjN1TGltzHtaHGSfjhnXvsZWenVohW06NR-aZ4dLNrgjHL9U2cLgmw_Symha6i9ZQr_4wZjsBfr5L7B_EOiu1okJ_rpmoO4-qjugEMwsUxFPiI4jBgVxxhhbTvWgBNb-xxmMtXgMl4HiFDOZCjhpNKR_Dlq3JQKbFfvQSPpevoBN5YJItG3xXQ=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn photo studio Eugene Oregon, infant girl in cream cap" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjmsTtLqjN1TGltzHtaHGSfjhnXvsZWenVohW06NR-aZ4dLNrgjHL9U2cLgmw_Symha6i9ZQr_4wZjsBfr5L7B_EOiu1okJ_rpmoO4-qjugEMwsUxFPiI4jBgVxxhhbTvWgBNb-xxmMtXgMl4HiFDOZCjhpNKR_Dlq3JQKbFfvQSPpevoBN5YJItG3xXQ=s16000" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg2k6s2z6ou8jnoW3e-lVltr5akeDgDJ4tYsu8o1Fp36cCXOHBAPrUgiusERPW9yLj0gKpouyNehuFu5mSXuJH1XV3BWVTBHmFwRmLT2XzBSTTa11tWrDqZMuPYWILpsWcriY7PCvphbQsOBvKWOwcNbQ0vBjjpgHRAJOy-WOLC3F1aE_Y0XYVsgUEcDA=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn baby girl photo session in Eugene, Oregon studio with rust and brown color scheme" border="0" data-original-height="628" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg2k6s2z6ou8jnoW3e-lVltr5akeDgDJ4tYsu8o1Fp36cCXOHBAPrUgiusERPW9yLj0gKpouyNehuFu5mSXuJH1XV3BWVTBHmFwRmLT2XzBSTTa11tWrDqZMuPYWILpsWcriY7PCvphbQsOBvKWOwcNbQ0vBjjpgHRAJOy-WOLC3F1aE_Y0XYVsgUEcDA=s16000" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjLy8M0-3nBVxSqATarqX7Yk7SxK_qYCdAISNk5PdxABLwqK82LujWO483ODarOn8etUSXtTD8XUnOcBE3aAnoeD_LJtMRzbCebi8vYUe25egWTQ3nITp4MEhdTXixRc8pFqV2DmHbKm7RRV6qA2v-bjLvLinxjyNbEETXgEcQm5phR9HcSWkEnPJ2NmA=s900" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Sleeping baby girl on rust-colored beanie, best Eugene Oregon phototgraphers" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjLy8M0-3nBVxSqATarqX7Yk7SxK_qYCdAISNk5PdxABLwqK82LujWO483ODarOn8etUSXtTD8XUnOcBE3aAnoeD_LJtMRzbCebi8vYUe25egWTQ3nITp4MEhdTXixRc8pFqV2DmHbKm7RRV6qA2v-bjLvLinxjyNbEETXgEcQm5phR9HcSWkEnPJ2NmA=s16000" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">We also did a few setups with lighter colors, so we really

photography</b> session and knew exactly what she wanted. Almost all of the
clothing we used in the session was her own, including a beautiful gold sari.
While I love stylizing client sessions for them, it’s also fun when clients
have so much vision for their own photos and I just put my own spin on it. It
makes for some pictures that are totally unique to that person, and fully
incorporates their sense of style. (That being said, don’t worry if you’re more
the type of person who prefers to just leave it to the expert. As a

Hope you all had a great
Thanksgiving and that you got to spend it with the people you love. The
holidays can be such a busy time, but they’re also a good reminder of what’s
really important in life—like family relationships! I loved capturing this
family’s love with a newborn photography session for their new baby girl!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdLWOmaDhS1wmRhCip6rrkbWpBFgaoR9Rpl9KSr_a9UVOv9tMQ_4xz2nzK8rlE7gpEvsXGPzUfvm1BTdbsbOUentN4LHHWSQ-Vw_J-QyRrZ4UMbqPLnC3MlWMaI__sLHD-FxsdTs2Jti7k/s900/SCP.FredaBerlantNewborn.081021-1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Baby girl asleep on moon and stars prop" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdLWOmaDhS1wmRhCip6rrkbWpBFgaoR9Rpl9KSr_a9UVOv9tMQ_4xz2nzK8rlE7gpEvsXGPzUfvm1BTdbsbOUentN4LHHWSQ-Vw_J-QyRrZ4UMbqPLnC3MlWMaI__sLHD-FxsdTs2Jti7k/s16000/SCP.FredaBerlantNewborn.081021-1.png" /></a></div><p>Heather and Dan brought their little cutie Freda in for

old-fashioned (which is coming more into style the last couple of years,
especially for girls) and quirky at the same time.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO8sfVaAM6FqQod6PkTzZAbWt9ED9rpDRUbSbJmIkQwf1lLCh19LYEHBK64kRou3M9OUsBFpKPEEcL5QKAwkDgUWD2Hz_XPQHJfj4U_SM7zzuLZTfuVf8HjMs3M8nc0QyHnvHpIr82Tzsi/s900/SCP.FredaBerlantNewborn.081021-9.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn girl in froggy pose, best Oregon newborn photographers" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO8sfVaAM6FqQod6PkTzZAbWt9ED9rpDRUbSbJmIkQwf1lLCh19LYEHBK64kRou3M9OUsBFpKPEEcL5QKAwkDgUWD2Hz_XPQHJfj4U_SM7zzuLZTfuVf8HjMs3M8nc0QyHnvHpIr82Tzsi/s16000/SCP.FredaBerlantNewborn.081021-9.png" /></a></div><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVyCzCxt2wrG08A0qaFhcEZrhk3bzln_61LcFoUnMYfmkKIsZ_myywLrfcsnVn0HSaVGN6McD28OOrCuCJvvGdct8Qjd7ZdnTjVBzv8ssYIwZb01_ZvCCnsH5YCRxD-TscF1pChcaR8Yyy/s1159/SCP.FredaBerlantNewborn.081021-1_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn and family photos near me Eugene Oregon" border="0" data-original-height="1159" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVyCzCxt2wrG08A0qaFhcEZrhk3bzln_61LcFoUnMYfmkKIsZ_myywLrfcsnVn0HSaVGN6McD28OOrCuCJvvGdct8Qjd7ZdnTjVBzv8ssYIwZb01_ZvCCnsH5YCRxD-TscF1pChcaR8Yyy/s16000/SCP.FredaBerlantNewborn.081021-1_WebReady.jpg" /></a></div><p>Heather and Dan picked out a great mix of colors for Freda’s
newborn photoshoot. Lots of neutrals, which were perfect for the family and
newborn shots. And then all the colors of the rainbow! It’s kind of fun to go
with a couple different themes like that (especially if you’re doing a full
newborn photography session and have a bit more wiggle room with the number of outfits
and setups you can do). That way you can get some neutrals that are classic and
will work well with pretty much any décor (which makes them super useful for
gifts and display), plus some fun and colorful pictures that can add a pop of
color to a baby album or a cute focal point for the nursery.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjMgcQhcXxDhunMKEakdbThyphenhyphencW0Z8ZxH_ETTvdc67WI2Wmy2Xd_bCmI699tom0uU5XrvoKkptBDrolSn9Xsy2ltJ-cuojQZW5RqgulI6XpVWp6dxNb0pCtJMPdhynmQEBXJg8E_U3N4aln/s900/SCP.FredaBerlantNewborn.081021-15_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Baby asleep in bucket with rainbow wrap and headband, newborn photo studio Eugene OR" border="0" data-original-height="710" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjMgcQhcXxDhunMKEakdbThyphenhyphencW0Z8ZxH_ETTvdc67WI2Wmy2Xd_bCmI699tom0uU5XrvoKkptBDrolSn9Xsy2ltJ-cuojQZW5RqgulI6XpVWp6dxNb0pCtJMPdhynmQEBXJg8E_U3N4aln/s16000/SCP.FredaBerlantNewborn.081021-15_WebReady.jpg" /></a></div><p>I loved getting photos of this sweet, sleepy little girl.

for a great Thanksgiving! However you celebrate, I hope you get to spend time
with the people who matter most to you and that you have lots to be thankful
for this year. I know I do—and my wonderful clients are definitely on my gratitude

we chose a couple different shades of brown and blue for a nice contrast. I

have to admit, I have a soft spot for these two! I first started photographing
for this sweet family <a href="http://shannachessphotography.blogspot.com/2015/08/eugene-and-springfield-oregon-newborn_31.html">when Annalise was born</a>—and that’s been six years ago now!
It’s been a delight to record Annalise and Thea’s growing up, from birth (or
before—I did <a href="http://shannachessphotography.blogspot.com/2017/09/eugene-oregon-maternity-photographer.html">mom’s maternity session</a> when she was pregnant with Thea) and all
the important <a href="http://shannachessphotography.blogspot.com/2020/08/eugene-oregon-childrens-photographer.html">milestones of their growing up</a>. It’s become an annual tradition
to get together and do portraits of these two, and I look forward to spending
time with these sweet and silly sisters every year!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmCMynYYyJQ66jK5nuX6gvRgDW-nVjn1mEdcoL_v4DzuhJRsA9zuOK1jWbUmArQ6eR2rPKqf2sziDd7OIarQB4e6da4c-G2RwU3aGi_uGv57EAcWz4jxNFsd9VyqvGY5F-FD_vwmnY2FaC/s1352/SCP.LindSisters.071321-1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Sisters photography, Eugene Oregon children's portraits" border="0" data-original-height="1352" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmCMynYYyJQ66jK5nuX6gvRgDW-nVjn1mEdcoL_v4DzuhJRsA9zuOK1jWbUmArQ6eR2rPKqf2sziDd7OIarQB4e6da4c-G2RwU3aGi_uGv57EAcWz4jxNFsd9VyqvGY5F-FD_vwmnY2FaC/s16000/SCP.LindSisters.071321-1.png" /></a></div><p>This year mom really wanted to do their <b>child photography</b>
session in a field. I love this look, but it can actually be pretty hard to
accomplish around here in July and August, which is when we did our portraits. Most fields have been mowed by this
time to reduce the risk of wildfires. But we found a couple of locations that
still had some tall grass, and we did a lot of our session at Mount Pisgah,
which has all kinds of fun spots! I loved the variety of backgrounds we were
able to get. Fields, trees, water, buildings—we really did get the best of
everything!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEingyyLHPD_UMq_GBpLrnnJP_7LYEIKj2kgsFDtGCZs1SWwyN-fKsG_h4PGjkPGzDyVkBjP9LZgrCLEkfJr4ptHRxl6vKhxhe2IlCHnINIf1wt1JP_lctfXQcn5NTp4DHMkQlaEwt1v7IQY/s900/SCP.LindSisters.071321-16+copy_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene, Oregon child photographer, outdoor children's portraits" border="0" data-original-height="742" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEingyyLHPD_UMq_GBpLrnnJP_7LYEIKj2kgsFDtGCZs1SWwyN-fKsG_h4PGjkPGzDyVkBjP9LZgrCLEkfJr4ptHRxl6vKhxhe2IlCHnINIf1wt1JP_lctfXQcn5NTp4DHMkQlaEwt1v7IQY/s16000/SCP.LindSisters.071321-16+copy_WebReady.jpg" /></a></div><p>Annalise and Thea were six and four this year, and a hoot as
always! These two are full of fun and personality. And because we’ve gotten to
know each other over the years with annual <b>milestone photography</b>
sessions, they’re very used to me and my camera, so they really don’t need any
time to warm up. They just play and do their thing, making it so easy to get
natural and relaxed portraits. do get along so well, and I loved capturing the close relationship they have with

reasons I’m so glad mom has chosen to invest in annual <b>milestone photography</b>
for her daughters. full <b>newborn photography</b> sessions, and can be a great option depending
on what you’re looking for. Mini sessions are shorter (only an hour instead of
closer to three). And since they’re short, they’re very simple and streamlined.
I usually do some beanbag poses and one setup with backdrop, and also focus
exclusively on baby rather than getting parent and sibling photos too. The mini
sessions also include five high-resolution digital images, so if you want more
of an all-inclusive package deal, a mini can be a good option. Of course, you’re
always welcome to purchase more images if you can’t narrow it down to just
five! (Not uncommon, trust me. Even with the shorter session time and fewer
setups/outfits, you’ll still end up with lots of beautiful pictures to choose
from, as you can see from this selection of Sophia’s baby pics.)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYy-ftweUWLkAiBMqvw3MOJXIj9tOTf4TZrneaDaiVzmBU5_2QkTygPq9PZzh72ajsb086a1i7Wikl3sZ6pdX1dXp1r4gXTYggBB4bw204cUBY1mNRyGb_z5j54IljJrJ4AUp6Wszqt7vp/s900/SCP.SophiaSloneckerNewborn.062221-9.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon baby photographer" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYy-ftweUWLkAiBMqvw3MOJXIj9tOTf4TZrneaDaiVzmBU5_2QkTygPq9PZzh72ajsb086a1i7Wikl3sZ6pdX1dXp1r4gXTYggBB4bw204cUBY1mNRyGb_z5j54IljJrJ4AUp6Wszqt7vp/s16000/SCP.SophiaSloneckerNewborn.062221-9.png" /></a></div><p>Sophia was a total sweetheart for me. We tried out lots of
fun hats, pretty headbands, and cute poses with her on one of my white
beanbags, and did a beautiful setup with some deep greenery and purple flowers.
And we were also able to include a personal touch. Grandma (Denise’s mom) had
made a beautiful rainbow colored blanket for Sophia before she passed away, and
Denise brought it to the studio so we could have it in our pictures. I loved
incorporating it in our session and being able to honor the memory of Sophia’s

Anyone else excited for changing colors on the

the photos of this adorable baby girl! Little Remy came to my <b>Eugene Oregon

pictures, and they turned out so beautifully!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjH1G8eUtIjAjMsLvYOJwY0RoUwtTknQiVhlOjh9OyQ7v_bFfBT3v-YtN_ptQHNuf6oc6-a59z8R5vo81HNdBMaPBh8BcecqMGC5inXPxDiYy0d_u5UetEbGuxTpjNhT3Gb8xe8Al2DmtP/s900/SCP.RemyPappelNewborn.060121-14.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Best newborn photographers near Eugene Oregon" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjH1G8eUtIjAjMsLvYOJwY0RoUwtTknQiVhlOjh9OyQ7v_bFfBT3v-YtN_ptQHNuf6oc6-a59z8R5vo81HNdBMaPBh8BcecqMGC5inXPxDiYy0d_u5UetEbGuxTpjNhT3Gb8xe8Al2DmtP/s16000/SCP.RemyPappelNewborn.060121-14.png" /></a></div><p>Mom (Holly) brought Remy in for a full <b>newborn

but she wanted to just focus exclusively on baby pics, so that’s what we did.
(You can learn more about the difference between full and mini newborn sessions
<a href="https://www.shannachessphotography.com/investment">here</a>, and decide what’s right for you.) Remy was an absolutely beautiful baby,
so I was perfectly happy to keep my shutter clicking as I captured each
expression on her sweet little face.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioPNI52xoOdWFReY5MPaxZdefIaEJow_YwO416US7EwCVl4UNms9XT22sYLr_NOJXLctkZhcne6MRjEjHPe6m_TC8hzk4xdMxJo5DSz8fr83LQAH_oGm35NEhvwHc4WcMeIq3D5Tc9EZZM/s900/SCP.RemyPappelNewborn.060121-8_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn photography Oregon, new baby girl" border="0" data-original-height="899" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioPNI52xoOdWFReY5MPaxZdefIaEJow_YwO416US7EwCVl4UNms9XT22sYLr_NOJXLctkZhcne6MRjEjHPe6m_TC8hzk4xdMxJo5DSz8fr83LQAH_oGm35NEhvwHc4WcMeIq3D5Tc9EZZM/s16000/SCP.RemyPappelNewborn.060121-8_WebReady.jpg" /></a></div><p>Mom wanted mostly neutral colors for Remy’s newborn photos,
so we stuck to a very muted color scheme. Turned out so pretty! You really can’t
go wrong with neutrals, and they’re very easy to incorporate into just about
any color scheme/décor style, making them a great option for pictures you plan
to frame and display in your home. And of course, using neutrals doesn’t mean
you can’t have a little color in there too. Green tends to go really well with
lighter colors and earth tones, so I’ll often throw some in—usually in the form
of greenery or florals. You can see it doesn’t detract from our natural, classic
look at all, and it sneaks a hint of color in there without looking out of
place.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNGki9D776Fl4AvHg2HAkrmNbuLwJQf3Pjty5IWgYYMOcYxF0tSF2bvubk3kPvwQ5cPiQoBH3vklc8bA5EYGE3r-GgoIp-KWRFGIa6mjBQvUW5zyL1xXq8_Iw10iUlxeLBNaM7fkYOkaWn/s1125/SCP.RemyPappelNewborn.060121-24.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn photography studio Eugene OR" border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNGki9D776Fl4AvHg2HAkrmNbuLwJQf3Pjty5IWgYYMOcYxF0tSF2bvubk3kPvwQ5cPiQoBH3vklc8bA5EYGE3r-GgoIp-KWRFGIa6mjBQvUW5zyL1xXq8_Iw10iUlxeLBNaM7fkYOkaWn/s16000/SCP.RemyPappelNewborn.060121-24.png" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">Another way to go, if you like the neutral look but also
have some colors you want to incorporate, is to choose very light shades of
whatever color you’re going for. Very pale shades of just about any color will
usually go great with neutrals.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHirBJ9ltXhy-yc_r3X8EooKThsLl1sgPllUGz67Tvi2es7nu0gLSOjEKqJmntOEvGmO5OELKYYAnqXLHGkAwW0Q6I07DbqVuwllfgLAv-BUoMCzry31i6nbRaH3HzwHOzcEF3F1vqpGiH/s900/SCP.RemyPappelNewborn.060121-1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene/Springfield Oregon newborn photographer" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHirBJ9ltXhy-yc_r3X8EooKThsLl1sgPllUGz67Tvi2es7nu0gLSOjEKqJmntOEvGmO5OELKYYAnqXLHGkAwW0Q6I07DbqVuwllfgLAv-BUoMCzry31i6nbRaH3HzwHOzcEF3F1vqpGiH/s16000/SCP.RemyPappelNewborn.060121-1.png" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">Remy was such a cutie and slept really well for me during

dedicated studio space, most of my clients come to me so they can have the full
studio experience. But I’m also happy to travel to you! I’ve done several
outdoor maternity sessions on the beach, in the mountains, and at various parks
and recreational areas. It was really fun to do this particular <b>maternity
photography</b> session at the client’s home.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxnrCLIuw0iywYNP_DJ65gtPBEFaDpCE8oA0tUww6zNC0kG-B9spdIh619ZQkCkyMM_kCBElJ1eJZ63OrXymuG-6IQRCSlYkc-AB9P_bZr8DylOLkC6nFteD6wYY4Q7iteeIzegiAAdMAS/s1352/SCP.SoniaSandersMaternity.052521-3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon maternity photographer" border="0" data-original-height="1352" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxnrCLIuw0iywYNP_DJ65gtPBEFaDpCE8oA0tUww6zNC0kG-B9spdIh619ZQkCkyMM_kCBElJ1eJZ63OrXymuG-6IQRCSlYkc-AB9P_bZr8DylOLkC6nFteD6wYY4Q7iteeIzegiAAdMAS/w426-h640/SCP.SoniaSandersMaternity.052521-3.png" width="426" /></a></div><p>Sonia booked this maternity session for the end of May, when
the weather was starting to warm up a bit. She has an area of her yard closed
off where she keeps her hot tub, and told me she uses it as a calming space and
often goes there to meditate. She thought it would make a great location for
her maternity photos and I totally agree!</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Of course, one of the main things that makes somewhere a
good candidate for a maternity photoshoot is the way it looks. I really liked
the simple wood paneling that enclosed Sonia’s space. It made a great backdrop
for photos with all the advantages of natural light as a bonus! We also decided
to go for a bit of a tropical feel, given the sea blue of the hot tub. Adding a
few brightly-colored flowers gave it that extra special touch and made it kind
of similar to a milk bath. <o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZWCLs1hZ-caLcJFMnsQmLz3hq4I8TCGBzELeoL4Ayp_k0YMnctKu1uThImEtQOvWs6efX8X51KFxKD6x3MzMy3uKXX7xTNgQR5od9DKtyWDr4XiFJ21MdZGMa7Q0twZc8gbGNXMyJRJWu/s900/SCP.SoniaSandersMaternity.052521-1_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Maternity photographer Oregon" border="0" data-original-height="799" data-original-width="900" height="568" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZWCLs1hZ-caLcJFMnsQmLz3hq4I8TCGBzELeoL4Ayp_k0YMnctKu1uThImEtQOvWs6efX8X51KFxKD6x3MzMy3uKXX7xTNgQR5od9DKtyWDr4XiFJ21MdZGMa7Q0twZc8gbGNXMyJRJWu/w640-h568/SCP.SoniaSandersMaternity.052521-1_WebReady.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">Another reason I loved this location was that it was special
to Sonia, so she felt comfortable and relaxed there. As a <b>maternity
photographer</b>, I want the experience of each of my expecting mothers to be
something they can enjoy in the moment, as well as giving them beautiful
pictures to look back on in the future. There’s nowhere like your own home or
backyard to help you feel calm and relaxed!</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">It was such a pleasure to spend time with Sonia in this
beautiful space she’d created for herself! I love the way our photos turned out
and am so excited for this gorgeous mama!<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Are you getting ready to welcome a little one to the family?
Congratulations! I know there are so many things on your mind as you prepare

I cannot believe we’re
halfway through September already—and that Gianna’s one year <b>cake smash

from her milestone photo session—you’re going to love them!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh69SQZxHe2W-kAkcKbfwKl8I5ft_cFNLNqJVkVA9h4rB1XFLrVcNaeByNM1yyBRo3yRqNUTYNkM2GaVKfMEc2EB-4HOyoj2rY2blIE2jChlJ3IdhXKNQciXbaC-JVyQWyvDVBhvVeKjHVX/s900/SCP.GiannaZacariasCakeSmash.052721-1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon baby and child photographer" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh69SQZxHe2W-kAkcKbfwKl8I5ft_cFNLNqJVkVA9h4rB1XFLrVcNaeByNM1yyBRo3yRqNUTYNkM2GaVKfMEc2EB-4HOyoj2rY2blIE2jChlJ3IdhXKNQciXbaC-JVyQWyvDVBhvVeKjHVX/s16000/SCP.GiannaZacariasCakeSmash.052721-1.png" /></a></div><p>Adriana and Oscar brought in cutie Gianna for a one year <b>baby
photoshoot</b> plus cake smash. It’s a great combination! This type of session
is really popular for that one-year milestone, as it allows us to get some
classic portraits along with photos that are more birthday party themed.
(Adding a cake smash setup to your little one’s baby and child milestone
session is only an additional $50, so it’s a super affordable way to have the
best of both worlds. You can <a href="https://www.shannachessphotography.com/investment"><u>check out more about session options here</u>.</a>)</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Gianna was absolutely adorable and such a happy kiddo! She
smiled almost the entire session, so I know I wasn’t the only one having a
great time! (I loved the double top knot thing she had going with her hair—too TOO
cute!) <o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiH3hg13_WMYJHJqgyX9MPds2Nf90Bt_9_wR0Z68HGSER_eIj01eFpQe1ymodXJkmJhZyVBqKyUahAhsmKZ0ll43eVZAZTdpEuqlI7nj8oxAExfNa73OdS4NgSILACC4SA6SFOyZI4wyU7/s900/SCP.GiannaZacariasCakeSmash.052721-2_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="One year milestone baby photography Eugene Oregon" border="0" data-original-height="751" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiH3hg13_WMYJHJqgyX9MPds2Nf90Bt_9_wR0Z68HGSER_eIj01eFpQe1ymodXJkmJhZyVBqKyUahAhsmKZ0ll43eVZAZTdpEuqlI7nj8oxAExfNa73OdS4NgSILACC4SA6SFOyZI4wyU7/s16000/SCP.GiannaZacariasCakeSmash.052721-2_WebReady.jpg" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">Birthday girl’s nursery is mostly pink and white, so we
carried that throughout our photos—both milestone (with flowers and an
oh-so-pretty dress) and cake smash (with balloons and a celebratory heart
garland). We did our portraits first, of course. Things can get a little messy once
we bring the cake out! Gianna had fun the whole time, but I think the highlight
for her was definitely the cake. She LOVED it! I think she would happily have
stayed at the studio all day if it meant she could keep munching on cake crumbs
and getting frosting all over her face! She gave me the cutest little
expressions while she was eating too. <span style="font-family: "Segoe UI Emoji", sans-serif;">😊</span> This little one definitely knows how to
enjoy the good things in life!</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">It was so much fun to meet this little character and her
parents. I was especially flattered when I learned that Adriana (who found my
work online) and her family live all the way in Troutdale, Oregon! I have many
clients that travel to my <b>Eugene, Oregon photography studio</b> from more
rural areas where there aren’t as many options for photographers. But Troutdale
is less than half an hour from Portland, where there are tons of amazing
options as far as baby photographers. The fact that these parents chose to make
the two-hour plus drive to see me spoke volumes and was such a huge compliment.
I was honored to be their <b>Eugene, Oregon baby photographer</b>!<o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhclleg9GXv3jTfCnmlbTApfZeqZn9tzNYbG9irSR2fHJVnss2yvTTim25S-CSJ6-BdJ6qxF1DWlaqEi1-Ldih2x_inXXIt86ADtO2ILaSIw0Z3uBr36Slr9Qfkpxxhk8OfurSs97eOr6q_/s900/SCP.GiannaZacariasCakeSmash.052721-27_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon cake smash photographer" border="0" data-original-height="798" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhclleg9GXv3jTfCnmlbTApfZeqZn9tzNYbG9irSR2fHJVnss2yvTTim25S-CSJ6-BdJ6qxF1DWlaqEi1-Ldih2x_inXXIt86ADtO2ILaSIw0Z3uBr36Slr9Qfkpxxhk8OfurSs97eOr6q_/s16000/SCP.GiannaZacariasCakeSmash.052721-27_WebReady.jpg" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">Interested in a cake smash photography session? back in the studio! It’s fun to catch up and see how much little ones have
grown since I photographed them as babies.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipXa3d5iqK1Ob5V5O3JkcVI3Onp9fEB-MASXWRtHGc5whfg65eCFvGQ0_PVIt2GnnQHTcV6kacCBk8iDgMa2wxpPJ4sVa3VOrlClDwkv3kEE61hbmsM-71VKrZh2IFWoK4LVHU4_Dg8VG6/s900/SCP.AbigailLongNewborn.042921-1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Oregon Ducks newborn photographer Eugene OR" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="900" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipXa3d5iqK1Ob5V5O3JkcVI3Onp9fEB-MASXWRtHGc5whfg65eCFvGQ0_PVIt2GnnQHTcV6kacCBk8iDgMa2wxpPJ4sVa3VOrlClDwkv3kEE61hbmsM-71VKrZh2IFWoK4LVHU4_Dg8VG6/w640-h426/SCP.AbigailLongNewborn.042921-1.png" width="640" /></a></div><p>Baby Abigail was a teeny tiny thing that looked so much like
Penelope did as a newborn! (Penelope was born early, so she was very little too.
Not anymore though! Look how much she’s grown. Such a gorgeous girl.)</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">One of the many fun things about being a <b>Eugene, Oregon
newborn photographer</b> comes from the fact that Eugene is a college town—and we
love our college football! I invested early on in some baby-sized jerseys and
outfits in the colors of Oregon’s two rival teams, the Ducks and the Beavers,
so that no matter who parents root for, they can get baby’s team spirit on from
day one! Parents Miah and Robert are Ducks fans, so when Penelope was born we
made sure to include a picture with a green and yellow football outfit along
with all the girly photos. Of course, we had to do the same with Abigail!<o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTzAaZQstYgHutenNTplK2CHs4YGXvQvck-3my0kIySKULeYhz13XwElwzShO_sewQ568OhrpP5LjH_uOkmR1C2dpFPl2HxrRjpKf7KagzMQ8aIsi9bagCLwcJGdIIhXRIyMFdbJbXLgvW/s900/SCP.AbigailLongNewborn.042921-6_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon newborn and family photographer" border="0" data-original-height="825" data-original-width="900" height="586" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTzAaZQstYgHutenNTplK2CHs4YGXvQvck-3my0kIySKULeYhz13XwElwzShO_sewQ568OhrpP5LjH_uOkmR1C2dpFPl2HxrRjpKf7KagzMQ8aIsi9bagCLwcJGdIIhXRIyMFdbJbXLgvW/w640-h586/SCP.AbigailLongNewborn.042921-6_WebReady.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">We used lots of pinks and purples in Penelope’s session
(classic for girls), but decided to do something a little different with Abigail.
For our newborn and family photos we used a neutral color palette with lots of
grays, whites, and blacks. You really can’t go wrong with basic colors like
these, whether you choose to use them as standalones or as the backdrop for
some pops of primaries or pastels. And neutrals tend to be great for family
pictures since they work well for both genders and most people have several
basics in their closet, so it’s easy to coordinate outfits.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For our newborn-only baby pictures, we chose yellow as our
main color. So fun! Yellow isn’t a very common choice, but I absolutely love
it. It’s so sunny and cheerful, and at the height of spring it was the perfect
way to welcome this little ray of sunshine into the world. <o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8MHVYiwDm3ya1whhdss1_8qwlwMz_YUGi2wWHk0IqpMJiX1nUmFIfGy9SRTYAegsyd4Rf0AXQDUA3AEnTPovvVrelj6Fnx0m0c7JG9fEWSGEYMiReKdYe45JH1WgBAg3_-u_YGVTsLXt6/s900/SCP.AbigailLongNewborn.042921-31.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn photographers near me Eugene/Springfield OR" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8MHVYiwDm3ya1whhdss1_8qwlwMz_YUGi2wWHk0IqpMJiX1nUmFIfGy9SRTYAegsyd4Rf0AXQDUA3AEnTPovvVrelj6Fnx0m0c7JG9fEWSGEYMiReKdYe45JH1WgBAg3_-u_YGVTsLXt6/w640-h426/SCP.AbigailLongNewborn.042921-31.png" width="640" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">So great to see this group again—they really are the

It
has flown by so fast this year. (Who am I kidding? It always does!) Like most
of you, I’m currently in back-to-school mode, figuring out schedules and
supplies and all the other fun stuff. But none of that was on my radar when I
did this <b>maternity photography</b> session back in mid-June! Corrine
traveled all the way from North Bend to my <b>photography studio in Eugene,
Oregon</b>—about five hours away! It’s such a huge compliment to have clients
seek me out over those kinds of distances. It really is worth the extra travel
time when you find a photographer you love. After all, these pictures are your
forever memories—you want to be sure they’re exactly what you want!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrFyS1aGSPqRq502ezhIazDHH5-Q_l7Xp1QALSXT5xhibwlRVoEhM5k3lQKSr9z4q14vfSHa64iNFguSihEL3ihvGBwc0DMq9t_XZmvOsqZOlhXXJcRwzfrtAuWk_89wNWYKGYJK1vukUe/s1125/SCP.CorrineHarrisMaternity.062221-17.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon maternity photographer" border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrFyS1aGSPqRq502ezhIazDHH5-Q_l7Xp1QALSXT5xhibwlRVoEhM5k3lQKSr9z4q14vfSHa64iNFguSihEL3ihvGBwc0DMq9t_XZmvOsqZOlhXXJcRwzfrtAuWk_89wNWYKGYJK1vukUe/w512-h640/SCP.CorrineHarrisMaternity.062221-17.png" width="512" /></a></div><p>One of the things I love to do as a <b>Eugene, Oregon

sometimes giving yourself a little TLC can feel kind of low on the priority
list, but it is so needed! Just one of the reasons I offer professional hair

getting professional hair and makeup, so it was extra fun and special for her.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgviisogtXRwpv6PhNtLM6CXrTBmBYxPjlBzuFmwjPc18b4OfLdMIBElSi1tMvCpinVhfWRx3-18aLSVJuQBGbO3x395tPy6dATpTJvzv4wWBQXBjFK5fv6rtUnLiFLLiTNi8vXdsyWyF8J/s1352/SCP.CorrineHarrisMaternity.062221-6.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon maternity photo studio" border="0" data-original-height="1352" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgviisogtXRwpv6PhNtLM6CXrTBmBYxPjlBzuFmwjPc18b4OfLdMIBElSi1tMvCpinVhfWRx3-18aLSVJuQBGbO3x395tPy6dATpTJvzv4wWBQXBjFK5fv6rtUnLiFLLiTNi8vXdsyWyF8J/w426-h640/SCP.CorrineHarrisMaternity.062221-6.png" width="426" /></a></div><p>This was also her first time doing a professional photo

Mom (Loren) brought him
to my <b>Eugene, Oregon photography studio</b> in June, along with older
siblings Landon and Alivia. I photographed <u><a href="http://shannachessphotography.blogspot.com/2019/07/eugene-oregon-newborn-photographer_19.html" target="_blank">Alivia as a newborn</a></u> too, so
it was great to see her again. newborn and sibling pictures instead. I remember we took a similar approach
when Alivia was a newborn, and we focused most of the session on her, with a
few pics of her with big brother. It really is totally up to you when it comes
to who should be included in your <b>newborn photography</b> session. For some
parents, like Loren, getting those sibling pictures is really important. For
others, portraits of mom or dad with baby are a priority. And others like to do
exclusively newborn pictures. (And no, those aren’t all the options, in case
you’re wondering! I sometimes have sessions that include parents, siblings, and
grandparents—Like I said, it’s up to you who you want to participate. All of my
full newborn sessions come with the option to have family members join).</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>

love photographing them with their new baby brother. We did most of our sibling
and newborn pictures on the bed. This is always a really cute look. Plus it has
the added benefit of being nice and roomy so multiple siblings can pile on! This
is also a really good option if you have kiddos that aren’t quite old enough to
hold baby safely. By swaddling baby on the bed and having siblings sit next to
them, we can get great portraits that convey family togetherness while still
being nice and safe. Isn’t this trio so cute?</p><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Since all of my <b>newborn photography</b> sessions are
customized, I leave it up to parents to choose props and outfits unless they
ask for suggestions. I’m happy to provide guidance if needed, but it really is
fun to design your own baby pictures! Loren really loved black for Liam, so we
incorporated that color with clothing and hats, and added some dark blue as
well for some color and a bit of contrast. With his super dark hair, Liam
looked great in anything!<o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOr2cjEyPKFZJq5dCDihflOMoa03bg7y3uxKGBftsUpJNEfjAe7Wk7ggDUajs8nES4DqSI5d72hE9wZbnDqrNfQ7vOgyyzcDzPFdSfG_N8DcHr4zTMI6VxTVVLpUfR2oD8QVTvIh0EHqnO/s900/SCP.LiamLaVassaurNewborn.061521-1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene/Springfield OR newborn photographer" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOr2cjEyPKFZJq5dCDihflOMoa03bg7y3uxKGBftsUpJNEfjAe7Wk7ggDUajs8nES4DqSI5d72hE9wZbnDqrNfQ7vOgyyzcDzPFdSfG_N8DcHr4zTMI6VxTVVLpUfR2oD8QVTvIh0EHqnO/s16000/SCP.LiamLaVassaurNewborn.061521-1.png" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">Absolutely loved reconnecting with this family and spending

Parents Samantha and Andrew brought
her to see me along with their other two kiddos Evelyn and Theo. It was great
to have the whole family there—especially since I’ve been photographing them
for years. I did <b>newborn photography</b> sessions for both older siblings
(you can check out <u><a href="http://shannachessphotography.blogspot.com/2019/04/eugene-oregon-newborn-photographer_11.html">Theo’s session here</a></u>),
as well as milestone photography. And I’ve also done maternity pics for
Samantha to document her pregnancies. Samantha and I have known each other for
years through our work with the <a href="https://jleugene.org/">Junior League of Eugene</a>, so I love it every
time I get to see her and her family for photos!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfR-ZlNDFqJUhaC8iclV3yIvwfQvddfqJrjehvLnrN2S2AwEDrLFyTFWAc9WJ9smdVqByAe_ZHqMV_oVfUrMANwDkAtA1vUazTeijoSjeBW9WSiVgWpyqk3co4PoPKsg3Zfhq0DPp7MnFL/s900/SCP.AnnabelleAgerterNewborn.060321-1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon newborn photographer" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfR-ZlNDFqJUhaC8iclV3yIvwfQvddfqJrjehvLnrN2S2AwEDrLFyTFWAc9WJ9smdVqByAe_ZHqMV_oVfUrMANwDkAtA1vUazTeijoSjeBW9WSiVgWpyqk3co4PoPKsg3Zfhq0DPp7MnFL/s16000/SCP.AnnabelleAgerterNewborn.060321-1.png" /></a></div><p>I was so excited when I learned that Samantha and Andrew
were expecting their third little one, and of course, thrilled that they asked
me to be their <b>Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer</b> again! It was
wonderful to welcome the family to the studio again.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF1gCwaGI7RwPZGCGgHX4DrbZMxxx-CO65ukaEP49Uv_KEQ0wsGqCpVqCPY4zXNbKfDzJ6bCWU1Z-wRo4kR9e1YXT1cTW7W9lO9VQPolyhW4xU1fGeoIKLUPLHev26mlxwUm1MTo54ZG5_/s900/SCP.AnnabelleAgerterNewborn.060321-25.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Best newborn photographers in Eugene" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF1gCwaGI7RwPZGCGgHX4DrbZMxxx-CO65ukaEP49Uv_KEQ0wsGqCpVqCPY4zXNbKfDzJ6bCWU1Z-wRo4kR9e1YXT1cTW7W9lO9VQPolyhW4xU1fGeoIKLUPLHev26mlxwUm1MTo54ZG5_/s16000/SCP.AnnabelleAgerterNewborn.060321-25.png" /></a></div><p>Baby Annabelle was the cutest thing ever—just like her
brother and sister! She also had the most amazing auburn hair. I couldn’t get
over the beautiful color! It was gorgeous in person and also photographed
beautifully. Mom chose blue (which I absolutely love for a girl!) because she
thought it would be a great color to accent her hair. I totally agree! Who says
blue is for boys? As you can see from Annabelle’s <b>newborn photography</b>
session, I have plenty of headbands, outfits, props, and swaddles in blue that
are cute and lacy and perfect for girls! Greens and blues are the perfect
choice for redheads and babies with auburn hair—regardless of gender.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlBBscr9axKt-lmgrGUAh63D1Ar7U5YBOCeIfXbmx-o3_mVlFaP67LGR5rR6_8BMK8jG6rILpeCfxwyxm2ljI7gh3vuJJwXkEc79ylRPIO7Ll4rIy3kjdbNkux1HN0Sh85oelzENDJMaHj/s900/SCP.AnnabelleAgerterNewborn.060321-24.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Springfield Oregon newborn photographer" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlBBscr9axKt-lmgrGUAh63D1Ar7U5YBOCeIfXbmx-o3_mVlFaP67LGR5rR6_8BMK8jG6rILpeCfxwyxm2ljI7gh3vuJJwXkEc79ylRPIO7Ll4rIy3kjdbNkux1HN0Sh85oelzENDJMaHj/s16000/SCP.AnnabelleAgerterNewborn.060321-24.png" /></a></div><p>Evelyn and Theo were amazing with their new baby sister. They
did such a great job holding her and posing for the camera. These two really
are some of the cutest, happiest kiddos to work with—I’ve loved photographing
them in the past and it was so fun to capture their budding relationship with

Affinity and her husband Shawn came in last month for a session. They are
expecting their 5th child and this will also be their last baby, so
they wanted to do something extra special. Since they hadn’t done maternity
photos when Affinity was pregnant with any of their other kiddos, they decided
a <b>maternity photography</b> session would be the perfect way to remember
this special time of growing their family. I couldn’t agree more!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiE8Yo362Ldk9EvCcQsiKRgeMkP_N_1iqCIxRKEGegq65v3A8zW5bGzKA5zRrip9Bm_rNJ0iBaC5OPzhHFYSHtBC3dpJpjXUkdwQChbsgOdAm8o1xEckpo1icYdWZ60ZzrVPbBrhMbrq1pr/s900/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-7.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Nude maternity photos, Eugene Oregon maternity photographer" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiE8Yo362Ldk9EvCcQsiKRgeMkP_N_1iqCIxRKEGegq65v3A8zW5bGzKA5zRrip9Bm_rNJ0iBaC5OPzhHFYSHtBC3dpJpjXUkdwQChbsgOdAm8o1xEckpo1icYdWZ60ZzrVPbBrhMbrq1pr/s16000/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-7.png" /></a></div><p>One of many clients’ favorite things about their <b>maternity
photo shoot</b> is the pampering that happens beforehand! As an expecting
mother—especially if you have other children—it is so nice to get the spa
treatment every once in a while. Moms, you know what I’m talking about! That’s
why my maternity sessions include professional hair and makeup, so you can not
only look your best for pictures, but really feel like you’re doing something
special for yourself. Affinity told me she loved the pampering and the relaxed
feel of having her hair and makeup done professionally at my <b>Eugene, Oregon
photography studio</b> before we got the session underway.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSbXy1lapYJCs355ltLZnQoQDSJPQnDINoB2SIovPxob3EKtdhWlqSFhvjkWpp-YM6PVO7aw56PgE5WGVLhz7zawtpB8tyKD-oDqKdeijxeCkHWA6CoJos1xWzW4gXMLovDA0Z4LZ4v1fF/s1352/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Studio maternity photography Eugene OR" border="0" data-original-height="1352" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSbXy1lapYJCs355ltLZnQoQDSJPQnDINoB2SIovPxob3EKtdhWlqSFhvjkWpp-YM6PVO7aw56PgE5WGVLhz7zawtpB8tyKD-oDqKdeijxeCkHWA6CoJos1xWzW4gXMLovDA0Z4LZ4v1fF/s16000/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-3.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtxrSW-nd4rCSyou1tdwhwdExDiWXJzWXNc5p1_t2MWQgQwPy67ijKNde5X_iIWps6N5cQ8fZeBjeOjUD5PUbuDckJ_OwTvMZUiq6I4nQLmqLXIvm8NhUV_JQW3B-KuNMPjrVPX5In63Gn/s1125/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-8.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Maternity photographer Eugene/Springfield Oregon" border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtxrSW-nd4rCSyou1tdwhwdExDiWXJzWXNc5p1_t2MWQgQwPy67ijKNde5X_iIWps6N5cQ8fZeBjeOjUD5PUbuDckJ_OwTvMZUiq6I4nQLmqLXIvm8NhUV_JQW3B-KuNMPjrVPX5In63Gn/s16000/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-8.png" /></a></div><p>Affinity wasn’t the only one who got pampered during her

photographer, I have lots of experience and ideas, and I’m happy to jump in

clients know exactly what they want and I just have to follow directions. Makes
it easy on me!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9mUFlspLguv5Q3Fg2fpVBQHQE4Ydswj8CkC6rw0BwKIsE33eqsMKUYlmtlGGuWLtN1IYQsc51D0NHTC9y8RwvRxUqXvgQnOgmDmrU42p1ea-tEQWrv7SL5LJ9LQjGcsN03DkPLPzTvOr2/s1353/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-26.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene Oregon maternity photographer" border="0" data-original-height="1353" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9mUFlspLguv5Q3Fg2fpVBQHQE4Ydswj8CkC6rw0BwKIsE33eqsMKUYlmtlGGuWLtN1IYQsc51D0NHTC9y8RwvRxUqXvgQnOgmDmrU42p1ea-tEQWrv7SL5LJ9LQjGcsN03DkPLPzTvOr2/s16000/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-26.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXj7TKhUiUbGzCG22b0WThpOp8TSHvSBI1Hv7ssac7Wph_Z-VNmhLWHh4H2Sx8B9315ih2PNWZaGqo6UQnFME01lrwcdobs2IgDf8p8Hsf61x9RkHC85VSFqD_2gVgLaKOw1EI3-WB8R_6/s1125/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-25+copy.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Maternity photos Eugene Springfield Oregon" border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXj7TKhUiUbGzCG22b0WThpOp8TSHvSBI1Hv7ssac7Wph_Z-VNmhLWHh4H2Sx8B9315ih2PNWZaGqo6UQnFME01lrwcdobs2IgDf8p8Hsf61x9RkHC85VSFqD_2gVgLaKOw1EI3-WB8R_6/s16000/SCP.AffinityYoungMaternity.060221-25+copy.png" /></a></div><p>Affinity chose a beautiful wine-red maternity dress for most

Not
a problem! Jaundice is common in newborns and actually tends to make them extra

since jaundice is easy to correct in pictures during the editing process, it
really doesn’t influence your finished images at all—as you can see!</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhbrhTA9yToBVJ_rQLSvfVaf1Vc0JDY1ltstznvj80BbupL7dbfa7apqvPn5TWvJyj3kBPo6HIEK1ys9CTy9vmz2KzXrrTxjHGGPN8qUthdLkLh8fmeytBh8FBW_C7XnEU5A1eKuq2Z4Fy/s1125/SCP.OakleeKuniNewborn.051521-19.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Newborn girl in white swaddle surrounded by green leaves" border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhbrhTA9yToBVJ_rQLSvfVaf1Vc0JDY1ltstznvj80BbupL7dbfa7apqvPn5TWvJyj3kBPo6HIEK1ys9CTy9vmz2KzXrrTxjHGGPN8qUthdLkLh8fmeytBh8FBW_C7XnEU5A1eKuq2Z4Fy/s16000/SCP.OakleeKuniNewborn.051521-19.png" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">I realize that, as the auntie, I may be just a teeny bit

much like her big sister, Harbor, but I think she’s going to have my sister’s
fairer skin tone, where Harbor has her daddy’s. I love the sweet images we were
able to get of these two gorgeous girls together! Harbor is totally smitten
with her baby sister (as are mom and dad) and I don’t blame them. I kissed that
little face all weekend and still couldn’t get enough of her! And that floof of
hair—irresistible!</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjROpI9ZC4xUbsmobbMEnxRlBVss2fAPnnOxNeIQdqap4a3dVJ4EhONw0MSzZOVnYLxNw3pJ9tYkn5w_yy5a2EHBuP732w6h4ahT6P169tpgQA056BJuOljjQaH9awGCDajownJPfy8440h/s900/SCP.OakleeKuniNewborn.051521-3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="newborn and sibling photos Eugene, OR" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjROpI9ZC4xUbsmobbMEnxRlBVss2fAPnnOxNeIQdqap4a3dVJ4EhONw0MSzZOVnYLxNw3pJ9tYkn5w_yy5a2EHBuP732w6h4ahT6P169tpgQA056BJuOljjQaH9awGCDajownJPfy8440h/s16000/SCP.OakleeKuniNewborn.051521-3.png" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfw4ENGLBZawIsLv1sNlriNsNRwpNgmq0ehWm8d3E7x2ka2Yu2mfGI6osi8Vme7ww7bJ2IDBv6Jg_VHeXYGgSc6TCBIZBU7vWC6dpqIGpQBv4yNc4P3f7xPPz1SaZBaJRNHlHpuzTIIaDT/s922/SCP.OakleeKuniNewborn.051521-2+copy_WebReady.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="newborn and family pictures, Eugene OR photographer" border="0" data-original-height="922" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfw4ENGLBZawIsLv1sNlriNsNRwpNgmq0ehWm8d3E7x2ka2Yu2mfGI6osi8Vme7ww7bJ2IDBv6Jg_VHeXYGgSc6TCBIZBU7vWC6dpqIGpQBv4yNc4P3f7xPPz1SaZBaJRNHlHpuzTIIaDT/s16000/SCP.OakleeKuniNewborn.051521-2+copy_WebReady.jpg" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">Lindsey and Nainoa like to keep gender a surprise, so when

got some new sage props to make sure we had some options for either gender. I’m
so glad I did because it really photographed beautifully! I hope others will

Halfway through the week—we got
this! I hope your week is going great, but if not, here’s a little something to
brighten it up. Because baby pictures make everything better!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4d8rK2R87b5zqWo1PzkNvBVJV4qsZAuAKdCxp5xNwQjlB8KFePJxbUEolLdsYcq9E3Z9uPUXL9KCvrlFqx8nWr9avwQWQvuQiQICo5ZFCTFGRzburEwUY00ELB9TPNYtlQfY4gudFnIlh/s900/SCP.ShayleeSheltonNewborn.051421-26.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer, infant girl on pink background" border="0" data-original-height="599" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4d8rK2R87b5zqWo1PzkNvBVJV4qsZAuAKdCxp5xNwQjlB8KFePJxbUEolLdsYcq9E3Z9uPUXL9KCvrlFqx8nWr9avwQWQvuQiQICo5ZFCTFGRzburEwUY00ELB9TPNYtlQfY4gudFnIlh/s16000/SCP.ShayleeSheltonNewborn.051421-26.png" /></a></div><p>Ashley, Heath, and big sister Shelby brought beautiful new
baby Shaylee to see me for a <b>newborn photography</b> session. They made the
drive to my <b>Eugene, Oregon photography studio</b> all the way from Drain,
and I’m so glad they did! It was a pleasure to meet this sweet family and spend
a couple of hours with them capturing memories of this special time.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">When I said Shaylee was beautiful, I meant it! Okay, okay,
as a <b>newborn photographer</b> I admit, I think every baby I get to
photograph is adorable. But with her milk white skin, blonde hair, and big gorgeous
lips, Shaylee was seriously perfect and it was a joy to take pictures of her.
Plus, she was an amazing sleeper to boot. I couldn’t have asked for better!<o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7vJr6xAECPTpcHrV5XutDKqgX40Rr2BC6l9UKBuMIC0W22wFwA5UAxGnGg4TcJX4nBiEyJHeRUjzf7-CrkYJKpLtucvUrZmZKImZ-Gh2rFLK3_L5NENEG6Ev47cBjhyz29WYhExI8H67I/s900/SCP.ShayleeSheltonNewborn.051421-11.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Oregon newborn photographer, baby girl in froggy pose" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7vJr6xAECPTpcHrV5XutDKqgX40Rr2BC6l9UKBuMIC0W22wFwA5UAxGnGg4TcJX4nBiEyJHeRUjzf7-CrkYJKpLtucvUrZmZKImZ-Gh2rFLK3_L5NENEG6Ev47cBjhyz29WYhExI8H67I/s16000/SCP.ShayleeSheltonNewborn.051421-11.png" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">Since Shaylee was so cooperative, our session went really
smoothly. I have lots of tricks up my sleeve when it comes to calming fussy
babies, but it’s even better when I don’t have to use them! We were able to get
tons of great shots, both of baby by herself and of baby with her parents and
big sister. Shelby was such a sweetie and did a wonderful job with little sis.
A lot of times when I do newborn and sibling pictures, it’s with a toddler
sibling, so it’s kind of fun to work with kiddos that are just a tiny bit
older. We have more posing options since they’re better able to interact safely
with an infant, and it’s just fun to see their personalities and how nurturing
they are with the newest member of the family.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQXz8q0xYyyVg3P7iygdLxg2RBnBocfUN3WxzxM6qQQbxnzzJjgDRemQvNi67D9ZKoUjZpkmEGZ7edP5KdIsZRNxsTxXDLYwtqimnjTtx0Evz5Lr87Gbpk1jZXBkWRsnJ3sthsJwsPy0ca/s900/SCP.ShayleeSheltonNewborn.051421-4+copy_WebReady-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="newborn and family photographer Eugene, Oregon" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQXz8q0xYyyVg3P7iygdLxg2RBnBocfUN3WxzxM6qQQbxnzzJjgDRemQvNi67D9ZKoUjZpkmEGZ7edP5KdIsZRNxsTxXDLYwtqimnjTtx0Evz5Lr87Gbpk1jZXBkWRsnJ3sthsJwsPy0ca/s16000/SCP.ShayleeSheltonNewborn.051421-4+copy_WebReady-1.jpg" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal">Picking out colors for your <b>newborn photography</b>
session is always fun. We did lots of pale pink with Shaylee, along with some
splashes of color and a few black and white pictures to mix things up. Turned
out so cute!</p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">What a great experience to meet Ashley, Heath, and their adorable
girls! And I’m super happy that I’ll see them in the studio again! Ashley
decided to invest in the full first year package, so she’ll be bringing Shaylee
in every three months over the first year for milestone baby and child
photography sessions. I feel so lucky that I’ll be able to see them regularly,
and I’m so excited to watch this baby girl grow! Can’t wait until our next session
together!</p><p class="MsoNormal"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS2cwiLUtmdOgyV0PgfDseafGSK6GZc9rBYCggqRlw0ka0FXDa24o1FJ9tIX5HqtF68oN1CCgnPEdig6BbQwWhY_3Omw2mY7s7l0QOZhStYbFwnyza9-b4rbU0t5iFEd_j4Qz5z3GMXS8L/s900/SCP.ShayleeSheltonNewborn.051421-2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img alt="Newborn photography Eugene/Springfield OR" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS2cwiLUtmdOgyV0PgfDseafGSK6GZc9rBYCggqRlw0ka0FXDa24o1FJ9tIX5HqtF68oN1CCgnPEdig6BbQwWhY_3Omw2mY7s7l0QOZhStYbFwnyza9-b4rbU0t5iFEd_j4Qz5z3GMXS8L/s16000/SCP.ShayleeSheltonNewborn.051421-2.png" /></a></p>
