I purchased some gorgeous maternity gowns from Taopan earlier this year with the intention of having one modeled outdoors this summer and one in my studio as well.  My summer was so crazy busy, that I never got around to finding a model and setting up the shoot.  So I posted a status update on my personal Facebook page a week or so ago asking if I had any friends that knew pregnant women that would like to show some skin and model for me :)  I wanted someone pretty far along with a big, beautiful belly :)  My friend Emily came through, and suggested Mina.  I contacted her and she agreed.  I told her my vision and we were both really excited!  She even helped me find the perfect location.   Zumwalt Park is on Fern Ridge in Veneta and I love it there!  I also hired an assistant to help me with the gown--Keanna was super helpful. Mr. Rex and his mama made the drive from Cottage Grove to see me when he was just 13 days old.  He was amazing!  He ate once and otherwise didn't make a peep the whole session :)  He has such beautiful skin and loved my warm space heater blowing on him :)  Even when he pooped all over my blankets, I could clean him up with a baby wipe and he wouldn't budge!  LOL!  It was heaven and done in less than 3 hours as well!  His dad is a big Duck fan and his mama shows jumper horses, so we had some fun incorporating those things into the session as well.  Enjoy!

Quinn was such a teeny little sweetheart!  There were a few props I wanted to use but she was just to small to fit in them!  <3  Her skin tone was absolutely perfect with the pink I used in the session too.  And I was so excited to get a newborn girl in the studio--I've had a huge wave of baby boys :)  Her Grandpa was a catcher so we incorporated his mitt as well.  I'm sure he's smiling down on her from Heaven :) Welcome Quinn and enjoy!

Adeline was so fun to photograph!  Her little smile was absolutely contagious.  She laughed and exclaimed "Yeah!" and was just too cute!  And I love when babies love their cake!  She could have been there all night long with her cake.  Usually babies let me know they are done and over it but we had to cut Adeline off!  Her aunt came with her mom and she is just oh so crafty.  She made the "1", the ice cream garland and sign and the cake!  And it looked yummy :)  Enjoy!  And Happy Birthday Adeline!

I can't believe Lauren is One already!  But this year did fly by for both our families.  She's only 10 weeks younger than my daughter, so it was a whirlwind for us all.  Her mama is loving the nautical theme right now and navy blue and bright pink, so we incorporated that theme throughout her session this last week.  I'm loving my new beach scene backdrop from Butterfly Backdrops .  Their vinyl is amazing--no glare!  And nice and sturdy.  I don't think I will ever buy vinyl elsewhere again since I discovered this supplier :)   And I love the decorations for her birthday party that her mom brought in.  Lauren did a pretty good job with her cake, but didn't get too crazy.  That's okay, made for a fairly easy cleanup :)  Enjoy!

Can you believe it??  The kiddos are back to school already!  I don't know about you, but that was probably the fastest summer of my life.  It's probably because we only had 1 or 2 free weekends the entire summer!  Between a camping trip, birthday parties, 4 weddings and a Disneyland trip, we were a very busy little family. Back to School mini sessions are one of my most popular mini sessions for the entire year.  I love giving parents an option to have beautiful, custom portraits of their little ones instead of the stuffy and usually, non-flattering traditional school pictures.  I picked Hendricks Park for the location this year and admit that it is one of my favorite locations for outdoor sessions. What a beautiful family Heather and Robert have!  Alexander was a wonderful surprise and is sooo loved by his siblings.  I can't believe how big their youngest daughter is!  I did her newborn photos as well :)  He took a while to fall asleep, but once he did, he did a great job :)  Enjoy!

Love this family so much!  We had a great time running around Armitage Park last week :)  And Tyler is 4 years old!  It does not seem that long ago that I was taking his 18 month pictures ::sigh::  They just grow too fast! Enjoy!
