Everyone, please welcome Christian! He is such a cute little guy, as you can see. Enjoy the photos!
This sweet baby boy and his parents came into my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon
near the end of January for a newborn
photography session. They are a beautiful family and it was a pleasure to
work with them and to record this beginning of the great adventure for his mom
and dad. It is an amazing and awe-inspiring experience to become a parent! I
only spent a short while with them, but I could tell they’re going to do great.
I love Christian’s little gray onesy outfit with the fluffy
tassels. Isn’t that just the cutest thing? For some reason it reminds me of
Maurice Sendak’s beloved children’s story, Where the Wild Things Are. Unlike
the chaos-causing Max, the protagonist in the bedtime story, Christian was
extremely cooperative and happy to go to sleep in any setting whatsoever! At
this point, I don’t think he has a wild bone in his little body. We’ll see as
he gets older! That smile has a touch of mischief in it, if you ask me.
I also loved this cute little cowboy boot setup. With that
look of intense concentration on his face, I think Christian might be dreaming
about the future day when he’s big enough to rope cattle. Hold your horses,
Christian. I think you’ve got a ways to go yet, little cowboy. Take a look at
the upper left-hand photo below, as well. He may not be old enough to tie a
lasso, but he can still wear cowboy boots. He pulls off that look
spectacularly, I might add.
I really liked the blues and browns that Christian’s parents
chose for the color scheme. I think they go together really well, and are great
for a little boy.
As a newborn
photographer, I have a passion for capturing those moments of brand new
babyhood, but I also love highlighting the relationships of the families that
new babies are born into. I could tell Christian has a wonderful mom and dad,
and it was great to have an opportunity to catch the special relationship of
parent and child on camera. We got individual shots of Christian with his mom
and dad, as well as one with the whole family, and they all turned out beautifully.
I think Christian’s going to grow up to look just like his daddy, what do you
think?
Look at that cherubic little face. And those tiny toes! It
doesn’t get much better than a sleeping baby.
It was a pleasure to work with Christian and his mom and dad
during this newborn photography
session. They are a beautiful little family, and this is such an exciting time
for them as they begin their life together. I was honored to be invited to
record the momentous and life-changing occasion of Christian being welcomed
into the world and into his family.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the photos. Stop by again soon!
