Everyone, please join me in saying hello to Jade!
Is it just me, or do we seem to have had several little ones
lately who just couldn’t wait the full nine months before getting started in
the world? Well, Jade has joined their ranks. This little guy decided eight
months was plenty of time for mom and dad to get ready, and arrived on the
scene a month before his due date. Despite his early arrival, Jade still
managed to be a good-sized, chunky baby with amazing rolls!
Isn’t he a cutie pie? I love that soft fuzz of dark hair.
Jade’s mom and dad were given this newborn mini session as a gift from some of my other very generous
clients. These new parents were so thankful for such a thoughtful gift that
allowed them to get some professional
newborn photography of their adorable little boy. The photos turned out
great and Jade’s mom and dad were absolutely in love with them!
I can think of few better gifts for a new mom and dad than a
newborn photography session. It’s
truly a present that will be cherished by the whole family for years to come.
If you’re ever stuck on what to get an expectant mother, or if you are the expectant mother wondering what
more you could possibly need for baby, check out my gift certificates.
Jade’s newborn
photography session was a few weeks before Easter, but that didn’t stop us
from playing it up with a bunny rabbit hat. Easter is a season as much as a
day, right? Those floppy ears frame Jade’s chubby little cheeks perfectly—I
can’t get over how cute he is!
We used green as our accent color for this session, in honor
of the beautiful gemstone that Jade shares his name with. I love this picture
of him wrapped up in a blanket! Babies are so incredibly flexible! It would
kill me to even try to get into that kind of a position, but even though Jade’s
toes are just about touching his sweet nose, he looks perfectly content and
comfortable. And speaking of toes—aren’t those the best little feet you ever
saw? Love ‘em!
We also got this woodsy photograph of the little man wrapped
in a soft blanket and chilling out in a hollow tree trunk. He looks pretty
comfy there, doesn’t he? I don’t know if a lot of camping is in his future, but
if it is I don’t think he’ll have any problem getting back to nature.
It was a pleasure to have this family in my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon.
Jade was a sweet little boy, easy to work with, and a great sleeper. It was so
much fun to participate in this special gift-giving occasion, and I hope I’ll
have the chance to work with Jade and his parents again. I had a wonderful time
getting these photographs, and hope you’ve enjoyed them as much as Jade’s mom
and dad did!
