This was such a beautiful maternity photography session! Everything was so perfect, the weather
was on our side, and we got some absolutely amazing pictures!
I did this session with Danielle and her daughter, Jayda, at
Dorris Ranch, a public park in Eugene’s sister city, Springfield, Oregon. The
ranch, which boasts the oldest continuously working hazelnut farm in the
nation, is a popular spot for weddings and other special events, and, yes,
photography—and there’s no question about why. This is a lovely spot with
scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere. We did this session on an evening in
late May, and the golden light of the setting sun gives such a warm glow to
these maternity photographs. The
evening and the lighting really couldn’t have been more perfect.
In addition to a gorgeous setting, I was lucky enough to
have amazingly beautiful subjects. Danielle really is stunning, and I think
pregnancy makes her even lovelier. It’s clear that she’s passed her good looks
on to her daughter as well. Three-year-old Jayda is as cute as they come—and I
think she knows it. She seemed to enjoy every minute of the photography session
and was a total ham for the camera. You can see from the picture below that she
is quite the little drama queen—I think being her little brother or sister will
be a lot of fun!
Danielle is expecting twins—a boy and a girl—any time
between now and June 27th, and I am so excited for her! A new baby
is always an adventure—and twins makes it doubly so! Danielle has such a
beautiful little family already, and it’s a joy to see it grow.
Jayda and her mom clearly have a lot of love for each other—but
plenty still to give to the little ones who will be arriving any day now. I
love the pictures of Danielle and her daughter together, and am so glad Jayda
got to be a part of her mom’s maternity
photography session. I think it made it extra special, and I loved
capturing the great relationship these two obviously have. What a wonderful
memory to create together!
Danielle brought her own dresses for this session and I
loved them! The soft brown and beige blended so perfectly with the meadows and
woodlands that provided our background, giving this maternity photography session a natural and organic feel that is in
perfect harmony with the scenery. The greens, golds, and browns lend an
understated elegance that provides just the right amount of contrast with the
earthy, rustic backdrop of Dorris Ranch. So pretty!
I had such a fun time being the maternity photographer
for Danielle. The evening was lovely, the company was fantastic, and the
setting was truly breathtaking. I am so pleased with the way these photographs
turned out, and hope you’ve enjoyed them too. I wish Danielle and her family
every happiness and joy as they welcome these two new little ones to their
circle!
