Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Welcome Kyle!

I hope all of you will join me in giving a big welcome to Kyle!

This sweet little boy is a long-awaited blessing for his parents, Adam and Amanda, who have been hoping and praying so much for his arrival. Kyle was brought into this world by the wonderful gift of surrogacy, and I know Adam and Amanda are so grateful for this amazing gift that has allowed them to have a family of their own. 

Kyle and his parents came into my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon last month for a newborn photography session, and it was such a pleasure to spend this time with them. Kyle is an absolute sweetheart and oh so cute, and it’s clear that with his perfect smooth skin and dark hair he is going to be one handsome guy! 

This cutie was a great little sleeper and incredibly easy to work with. The fact that he seemed blissfully oblivious to anything we were doing enabled us to get quite a variety of shots with different props, outfits, and, most importantly, hats! You’ll see four different hats throughout these newborn photographs, and Kyle looks great in every single one!

We chose dark blue and gray as the main colors for this session. These colors go great together, and are neutral enough to be both very masculine and totally appropriate for newborn photography. But Kyle certainly isn’t afraid of bold colors either: the rainbow hat in the upper left hand corner of the collage below makes it very clear that he can pull off any color he wants to! I guess when you’re this handsome, you make the colors look good—not the other way around!

Some of my favorite shots are those where Kyle is with his mom or dad, like the one below. Isn’t he the sweetest thing you ever saw? Adam and Amanda just gush over this little guy, (which is totally understandable, I have to say), and are clearly ecstatic to have him in their lives. The love that comes through these photographs is so sweet, and I feel extremely lucky to have been able to capture it. 

It was a genuine pleasure to have this family in my photography studio. They are amazing people and I was honored to be a part of the process as they celebrated Kyle’s arrival to the world. Every new life is precious, and it’s always a great experience to help a family welcome their newest member, but there’s something especially touching about it when that newest member has been so long in coming, and has been awaited with such eager anticipation. 

I’m so happy for Adam and Amanda. The journey of parenthood is wonderful, and I know they are very excited to embark on it. Kyle is in good hands and it’s clear that his mom and dad love him with all their hearts. I’m sure he will continue to be a blessing in their lives, and I wish them all every happiness moving forward!
