Mara and Jesse brought in their adorable son Austin about a
month ago for his newborn photography
session. What an absolute sweetheart! This little guy was so precious and
handsome, and his session couldn’t have gone better – I enjoyed every minute of
it.
Mara and Jesse were referred to me by Dana and Josh Cooley,
and I’m so glad they sent them my way! (For more information about my referral
program, click here.) You may remember from my blog post a couple months ago
that Josh was our realtor when my husband and I moved, and that I did the baby
pictures for their little guy back in March. As it happens, his name is Austin
too! I guess it was meant to be.
As a Eugene,
Oregon photographer, I love developing relationships with my clients, and I’m
delighted when they trust me enough to send their friends to me. Mara and Jesse
are such nice people and I feel so blessed to have met them. It was wonderful
to spend some time with them and their brand new baby boy!
Jesse is into motorcycles, so he brought his helmet and we
got a picture of little Austin in it, giving us a big, sleepy yawn. Or maybe it’s
not a yawn and he’s just excited to be sharing in dad’s interests and hobbies
so soon! Either way, he is sure a cutie, and fits into his daddy’s helmet very
comfortably. I hope Jesse hangs on to that helmet and years down the line he
can pull it out to show to Austin and try to convince him that, yes, he really
was small enough to fit in there once upon a time! Such a fun memory.
Austin had so much beautiful dark hair – really tons of it for
a newborn – and I’m kind of obsessed with it. Newborns are always adorable, and
I can’t help oohing and aahing over every single one who comes into my studio,
but I’ll admit, I do have a thing for babies with a full head of hair. I also
loved his perfect, full lips and the way he pouted them just so for me, and his
skin was beautiful too. He slept great the whole time and was so easygoing
about everything. He did every pose I wanted, no problem at all, and looked
perfect doing it every single time. I really couldn’t have asked for a better subject
for a newborn photography shoot.
It really was a great experience to have this family in my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon. I
felt like we were able to get a ton of pictures because Austin was just so
chill and relaxed, and the variety of poses and outfits we were able to use was
so fun. I’m glad I was able to meet Austin and his parents at the beginning of
their great adventure together. Whether on the motorcycle or off it, I have a
feeling it’s going to be a great ride!
