Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: 3-month with Amira

I got to have sweet Amira in the studio last month for a baby photography mini milestone session. Amira is three months old now and such a cutie! Her parents, Nakkia and Jesse, made the drive all the way from Toledo and Albany (a drive of three hours and one hour, respectively, from my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon). Talk about dedication! I’m so glad they were able to make it and think it’s great that they both wanted pictures together with their daughter and were willing to put forward that extra effort to make it happen. Amira is lucky to have such an amazing mom and dad who both love her to pieces!

Amira is an absolute doll. She has the loveliest dark skin and gorgeous blue eyes that really stand out in her beautiful face. I think she looks a lot like her daddy. She was so good for me during our baby photography session! Many times babies that age are still a little uncertain about the camera and don’t want to smile or interact with me a lot, but Amira gave me a ton of smiles and lots of fun expressions, which I loved! She seemed totally comfortable in the studio and was happy to let me work the camera from one end while she worked it from the other!

I loved the polka dot and floral outfits Amira wore—the blue really brought out her eyes, and that bright pink headband was so cute and gave the perfect splash of color to bring a livelier touch to our muted color scheme. Although this was a mini session, we still managed to squeeze a couple of props in—and Amira is petite enough that she could fit pretty comfortably into some of the props (like the moon and stars) that I usually use for newborns. It was fun to use some of the things in my studio in a bit of a different way to suit an older baby.

Amira was a true delight to work with. She is such a happy little girl, and her visit was a ray of sunshine in my day. Her smiles and giggles are infectious! It was so cute to watch her with her parents too. She loves being cuddled, held, kissed, and tickled by them, and she was having such a good time that it was easy to get some great shots. She really is adorable, and as a Eugene, Oregon photographer I loved that she felt so at home in my studio. I always want it to be a wonderful experience for everyone who comes, so I’m glad Amira had fun!

I’m so happy Amira, Nakkia, and Jesse were able to make the trip to see me. It was great to spend some time with them and get to know them a bit, and our session went so smoothly. It was a pleasure to be the baby photographer for this wonderful group, and I wish each of them the very best!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: Hattie is ONE!

Hattie’s mom, Shanna, brought her in last month for a one year birthday cake smash photography session. Shanna (yes, her name is both spelled and pronounced the same as mine!) wanted to do a strawberry theme to go along with the banner and adorable outfit she had made for Hattie. What a talented lady! Looks like when it comes to the sewing machine she is a force to be reckoned with! Both the outfit and the banner were so cute and I was more than willing to figure out something a little different to match.

Eugene, Oregon maternity photographer: Milk bath with Kelsey

Kelsey came in for a milk bath maternity photography session last month. She was expecting a little boy in early November. Needless to say, he is here now! I did his Fresh 48 photos in the hospital shortly after he was born, and will be doing his newborn photos as well. He’s such a sweetheart! Be sure to keep an eye on the blog   for his pictures!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: 6-month milestone session with Lily

Oh my goodness, you are going to love the photos of this sweet baby girl! What an angel face! Audrey and Daniel brought Lily to my Eugene, Oregon photography studio at the end of March for her 6-month milestone photography session. Most of the 6-month-olds I photograph are little ones I took pictures of as newborns, but Lily and her parents were first-time clients. It was wonderful to meet them. And we had so much fun together! I usually set aside an hour for milestone sessions, but I very rarely use the whole time with 6-month-olds because they tend to get tired by about the 40 minute mark. Not Lily! She was sweet-faced and smiley the entire hour. I didn’t even want to stop at that point because we were having such a good time. And honestly, she was probably one of the most gorgeous, photogenic babies I’ve ever photographed. She seriously has the most perfect little face! She loved the camera, and the camera definitely loved her! Because Lily was so happy and cooperative, we go...
