Cori and Toby brought in baby number three last month for
his newborn photography session! Little
Lennon is the third newborn I have photographed for this wonderful family,
which is a new milestone in my career as a Eugene,
Oregon photographer, so it was extra special to have them in the studio
this time. Older siblings Harrison and Holland came as well, and it was so fun
to see them again!
Lennon was a happy surprise for his mom and dad, who weren’t
planning on adding a fifth member to the family just yet, but Lennon had other
plans. We are all delighted that he’s here, of course! Where babies are
concerned it’s a matter of “If some is good, more is better,” right? He is such
a cutie and just so perfect! He was wonderful for me, and although he slept
contentedly most of the time, he did wake up long enough for me to get photos
of him showing off his beautiful gray-blue baby eyes. Such a handsome little man!
We got some great pictures of Lennon with his big brother
and sister. Harrison is still an adorable ham in front of the camera—exactly
how I remember him! He has always loved having his picture taken and I think he
must like to check out all his different expressions when he gets to see the
photos afterward, because he loves to make faces at the camera! Holland still
doesn’t know quite what to think about photos. While Harrison pulled faces at
it, she opted for the stony stare most of the time. Fortunately a stony stare
is just as cute on a toddler anyway, and we did manage to sneak in a couple of
shots where she’s actually smiling…or at least thinking about it! Even when she
decided she was totally done with photos and flopped facedown onto my bed, I
couldn’t resist snapping a few more. These two kiddos are both hilarious!
We did gray, brown, and blue for Lennon’s newborn photography session. It’s a
simple color scheme that still has some drama to it and tends to work really
well for baby boys. It’s also pretty easy to match for folks who want to
include some family photos as well as the baby pictures, which is what we
decided to do. Any full session is a perfect opportunity to get updated family
pictures!
What a special treat to have the whole family together for a
session. I was especially happy that they were all able to make it because they
had to drive over from their home in Florence, about an hour away from my Eugene, Oregon photography studio. I
know that with young kiddos it can be a challenge to coordinate a trip with
everybody, but it really was a joy to see them all. It was wonderful to see how
well they are all doing, and I’m so excited about their new addition! Lennon
has been born into an amazing family, that’s for sure.
