This sweet little guy, Bear, came into my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon
last month with his mom for a newborn
photography session, and I was so excited to meet him! His mom, Bethany,
and her fiancé, Paul, are good friends of my husband and I. My husband used to
work with Bethany and the four of us started to hang out together at Oregon
football tailgates and games and quickly became friends. They are great people
and so much fun to be around. We were thrilled when we heard that Bethany and
Paul were expecting, and I’ve been looking forward to having their little one
in the studio ever since I heard he was on his way! I’m also looking forward to
Bethany and Paul’s wedding, which is planned for next summer.
Bethany chose mostly gray and olive green for Bear’s newborn
photos, and the colors worked out so well. The muted tones went perfectly with
Bear’s blond hair and beautiful skin. He’s such a handsome little guy! Earth
tones aren’t always the first ones chosen as the theme for baby pictures, but I
loved this quiet, deep color scheme. Well chosen, Bethany!
Paul and his son, Paul Jr., couldn’t make it to this session
and I missed seeing them, but we did get some great mommy and baby shots of
Bethany with Bear. They look perfect together, don’t they? She and Paul are
loving having this sweetheart in their lives and it’s exciting to see their
family grow. I’m so happy for them!
I love having family and friends in my studio. It’s always a
special experience and I enjoy being able to offer my talents as a Eugene Oregon photographer to people I
know and already have a relationship with. Getting to know new clients is super
fun as well, so be sure to check out my newborn portfolio if you think
you might be interested in a professional newborn
photography session. I would love to meet you!
Bear was a real trooper for me and slept so well. We didn’t do
too many props in this session, but we did use several hats, blankets, and
outfits. He did a great job of letting us try out different things to get a
nice variety of photos. Although I always try my best to take things slow and
not disturb baby’s slumbers, some little ones are more willing than others to
put up with me! Bear was awesome and I love the way his photos turned out.
I hope I’ll be able to get the whole family in for a session
at some point (when schedules work out and the stars align! Life gets so busy
that it can be hard to figure out a time that works for everyone, but I’m sure
it will happen at some point!) It was such a pleasure to be the newborn photographer for Bear and I
would love to see him in the studio again! Big congratulations to Bethany and
Paul!
