It was so great to see Betty Lou, Shawn, big sister Josie,
and the twins again! I have gotten to know this family really well over the
last several months. It’s been wonderful to spend time with them as I did Betty
Lou’s maternity session and then multiple sessions for the twins, including
Fresh 48, newborn, three-month milestone, and six-month milestone. Last month
it was time for another baby photography
session—nine months! My goodness they have gotten big, and I can’t wait to
share their pictures with you!
Kellyn (boy) and Quinn (girl) are so adorable. They are
sitting up really well and are getting so expressive and smiley. What a pair of
cuties! It’s been so fun to see them grow as I take pictures with them every
three months. I highly recommend milestone sessions to all parents. So many
changes take place in the first year of life that it’s well worth getting
updated photos on a regular basis to capture all those exciting stages!
We used a couple of different themes for this baby milestone photography session. Our
main theme was the farm, which turned out so great. Betty Lou even had blue
overalls for Kellyn and pink for Quinn, plus matching boots! My barn and
tractor backdrop gave us a great splash of color, and was perfect for the
harvest time of year.
Quinn and Kellyn are at the “everything goes in my mouth”
stage of life. At this age gumming everything in sight is baby’s way of
exploring the world, and it was pretty cute to watch Kellyn chewing on his
boots and Quinn gnawing on the arm of my little rocking chair. As a Eugene, Oregon photographer I’ve
invested in safe, high-quality props that can withstand the enthusiasm of
little ones!
We also wanted to include some of Shawn’s police items in
this baby photography session. Betty
Lou and Shawn brought in some of his gear to use in the photos, and they also
brought in a police pedal car that was just the right size for the twins. Am I
the only person who really wants to be pulled over by this cute little pair of
officers?
Big sister Josie joined in on several of the shots, as did
mom and dad. I always love it when I get to have an entire family in my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon.
Family photos are a great addition to any session (and are an added bonus when
you book a full milestone session rather than a mini).
I am going to see Quinn and Kellyn again in just a few
months for their one-year session, complete with cake smash! I’m already
looking forward to it. These two are so much fun and both they and their whole
family are a delight to work with. With Thanksgiving coming up in just a few
days I’m wishing Shawn, Betty Lou, and their three beautiful children a wonderful
holiday season! Can’t wait to see them again!
