Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Welcome Briella!

Sarah and Kyle brought in their beautiful daughter Briella for her mini newborn photography session last month. What a gorgeous girl with her blonde hair and rosy skin! I loved having her in the studio and hope you enjoy viewing her photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Briella did an amazing job for me. She slept the entire time and was an absolute angel. She was just so relaxed and peaceful.  Often babies kind of furrow their brow when they sleep (which is also super cute!) but Briella looks so comfortable and like she doesn’t have a care in the world.

Mom wanted a feminine theme with lots of pinks and florals. It turned out so cute! Florals are very popular for baby girl newborn photography, so I keep a lot of flowery outfits, headbands, backgrounds, and props in the studio for these types of sessions. We used my birch stump prop, and mom also brought in a floral sash she used while she was pregnant with Briella so we could incorporate that into a couple of our pictures as well. She also brought some baby rings which were adorable! They are family heirlooms and I managed to sneak one of them onto Briella’s tiny little finger while she slept. It’s so fun when families bring their own special props like this.

You don’t always get many facial expressions with newborns, especially when they’re super good like Briella and sleep the whole time. Briella surprised us all with a smile during her nap though, and I managed to capture it on camera.

Mini newborn photography sessions are a great way to go if you just want a handful of professional baby photographs to record your little ones earliest stage of life. These sessions are always held in my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon, and are totally focused on the baby—no sibling or parent images are included.  These types of sessions are also shorter, which some people prefer. For full newborn sessions, I set aside up to three hours, while mini sessions are never longer than an hour.

Although mini sessions take less time and generally use fewer props and accessories, the quality of your images is the same. As a Eugene, Oregon photographer I am committed to giving all of my clients a wonderful experience, and I can guarantee that you will end up with pictures you will treasure! Whether you’re looking for a full newborn session, a mini session, or haven’t quite decided yet, I would love to hear from you, so please feel free to contact me with any questions!

It was wonderful to have this sweet baby girl and her parents in the studio. They are a great little family and I loved meeting them and recording this special time in their lives. Briella really was such an easy baby to work with! Mom and Dad are lucky to have such a happy, easygoing little gal. Congratulations to Sarah and Kyle, and best wishes for the holidays!

Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Welcome Emmett!

This little guy was so precious! Sarah and Brian brought in their new cutie Emmett for newborn photos back in November. (I’m actually having a hard time believing we’re already through the first quarter of 2022! Is that just me?) He was a total sweetheart! Parents are always welcome to bring special items from home. In this case, mom and dad brought a colorful quilt that a family member had made. Even though our session took place in the fall, the quilt’s bright colors reminded me of spring! It also gave us a beautiful splash of color, since most of our photos were with all-white backgrounds. A blue beanbag and heart from my studio collection of props matched the quilt perfectly. Since this newborn photography session took place just a month before Christmas, mom and dad requested a holiday setup. This is always a fun option if your session takes place shortly before a major holiday like Christmas or Easter. It’s generally easy to work in just a single holiday-themed setup, and these k...

Sweet little Bennett is so lucky to have such a great family.  His big brother is absolutely adorable and his parents are just so nice :)  I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them!  Bennett is an alert little guy!  He wants to be awake and look at my light and take everything in around him :)  Reminds me of my older daughter.  Enjoy!
