New
parents Sandra and Cam brought their little guy Noah to my Eugene, Oregon photography studio about a month ago. What a cutie!
I’m so glad I was able to get him into the studio—we didn’t schedule this mini newborn photography session until after
Noah was born. Sometimes when sessions aren’t prescheduled well in advance my
calendar fills up and I’m not able to take new clients. Luckily I had an
opening this time and was able to fit Noah in—I’m so glad it worked out!
If
you’re expecting and are considering investing in professional newborn photography, I’d encourage you
to contact me as soon as possible. Newborn sessions are ideally held when baby
is between seven and fourteen days old, and since little ones often have their
own ideas about due dates, it’s important to book your session as far in
advance as possible.
Noah
was a chunky monkey and I just loved him! Baby fat is the cutest and Noah’s
chubby cheeks and rolls were the best! He also had the most wonderful hair! Soft
and black and absolutely tons of it. I could have played with it all day, but
since my mini photo sessions are only an hour long I had to control myself and
get down to business. Not easy, let me tell you.
This
little man also had lots of personality—I could tell already. I was a little
worried he would wake up, because he kept making lots of noises as I posed him,
but he was a champ and stayed asleep the whole time. I think he’s going to be a
talker! He also liked to scrunch up his toes just slightly, so that they curled
in towards his feet. So cute!
Since
this was a mini newborn photography
session we decided to keep things very streamlined and simple. We used swaddles
and hats as our outfits, since those are so much quicker and easier to change
baby in and out of than a full set of clothes. And we even limited our use of
hats because we wanted to show off that amazing hair! We also used just a
couple of backgrounds: a clean white one and then my fluffy gray-blue blanket
for Noah to curl up on. We also did lots of naked baby shots. They don’t
require any extras in the way of props, and they are adorable every time!
It
was wonderful to spend some time with this family as their Eugene, Oregon photographer. Noah was a good sport and so easy to
work with. I’m excited for his mom and dad as they start on this journey of
parenthood. It’s quite the adventure (as I can attest from experience) and I
have a feeling they are going to be great at it!
I
hope you’ve enjoyed the baby pictures of this handsome little guy! Please get in touch if you’re considering a session or have any questions at all. I would
love to hear from you!
