I had so much fun photographing this cute little one! Hadley’s
mom (Jena) brought her into my Eugene, Oregon photography studio for newborn
pictures last month and it ended up being a great session. Enjoy the photos!
Jena contacted me to schedule a newborn photography
session after Hadley was born. The last-minute booking, combined with the fact
that I am right in the thick of my busy season, meant that we didn’t have a lot
of wiggle room for when we could fit her in. Unfortunately, the day I had open
didn’t work for the whole family to come, so we only did photos of Hadley. Jena
did schedule one of my fall mini sessions in September, so I will be getting
the whole family in front of my camera soon. I’m looking forward to it!
Hadley did an awesome job for me. She was a great little photography
subject and gave me a ton of smiles. Baby smiles are always so cute, and Hadley
was especially enthusiastic with hers! Her whole face would just crinkle up in
the biggest grin—even while she was fast asleep. Since it means spending time
with sweethearts like this, is it any wonder that being a newborn
photographer is my passion?
We used a traditional pink and white scheme for the majority
of Hadley’s newborn pictures. It’s a classic look for baby girls, and one that
I doubt will ever go out of style. Flowers and lacy textures accentuated the
girly look we were going for.
Hadley comes from a family of sports fans too, so we
definitely wanted to incorporate that somehow into our newborn photography
session as well. She looked adorable in an infant-sized Oregon Ducks jersey! (As a Eugene,
Oregon photographer, I get frequent requests for Ducks-themed baby photos,
with the signature green and yellow colors.) We also used a mitt and the cutest
bow designed with the red stitching you see on baseballs. Although sports
themes tend to be more common with baby boys, there are lots of adorable and
creative ways to incorporate your favorite sports icons into your daughter’s
pictures as well.
It is one of my favorite things in the world to capture the pure
sweetness of newborn babies. Hadley was such a doll, and I can’t wait to see
her and the whole family again in a couple of months. I know Hadley will
already have grown so much in that short space of time. It will be fun to see
how much she’s grown and changed over the summer.
If you’re interested in booking a session with me, please get in touch. I’m always happy to discuss details or answer questions. If you
have ideas for your session I would love to hear them, and if not—no worries! I
have years of experience in newborn photography and my studio is fully stocked
with all kinds of great props and outfits. I would be happy to design the
perfect session for you and your little one.
