It feels like it’s been a while since I did a maternity
photography session, so I’m excited to share these photos of Dasha! She is
a gorgeous lady and our pictures turned out so great!
Dasha wanted a full maternity photography session so
she could do both studio pictures and a milk bath. Typically a milk bath is a
mini session add-on for clients who book a full newborn shoot with me, but it’s
also an option to add it to a full maternity shoot instead. Milk baths are a
lot of fun, so I’m always happy to make arrangements for those if clients want them.
This beautiful mom-to-be brought some of her own clothing to
the session, which was great! We started out in the studio using the leopard
print outfit she had brought, and got a ton of wonderful photos. I also keep a
collection of beautiful maternity gowns at my Eugene, Oregon photography
studio, so if you’re interested in a maternity session but don’t feel like
you have a photo-worthy maternity outfit, don’t worry! I have several different
styles and colors for you to choose from so that you can have beautiful
pictures without stressing about clothes. I want your session to be a fun and
relaxing experience.
After we’d gotten several photos, Dasha decided to try one
of my maternity gowns. She chose a new black one that I’d gotten just recently.
It looked great on her and worked really well to add some variety to our studio
pictures.
With black as the main color of Dasha’s clothing, a white
backdrop was the perfect choice to provide a dramatic contrast and also tie the
colors in with the milk bath we would be doing later. We also used a window and
curtain backdrop with my chaise longue to give our maternity pictures more of a
lifestyle feel.
Dasha’s fiancé, Jeff, was able to join us for this session
as well, which was fun. It’s always nice when dads are able to make it to the
studio. We got a few photos with Jeff and Dasha together. They make such a
great couple and are going to be wonderful parents! I’m so excited for both of
them!
We finished up our session with the milk bath portion of our
maternity photography session. Dasha chose my black lace gown for the
milk bath. The black against the white is always such a striking contrast, and
I loved the combination of the black with the deep purple flowers. So pretty
and romantic!
I loved being the Eugene, Oregon maternity photographer
for this lovely couple. Best wishes to Dasha and Jeff as they get ready to
welcome their new little one!
