Angelica and Brandon brought their sweet daughter Lyla for a
newborn photography session at the end of July. I first met Angelica
back in April at the baby expo when she wasn’t even noticeably pregnant yet. Like
many expectant moms, she came to the expo to get information on the many
services available to new and growing families in Lane County. I was there to share
with parents the services I can offer as a Eugene, Oregon photographer,
and to meet and connect with the many amazing families in this area. The baby
expo is such a fun event, and a great opportunity for parents to learn about
all that’s available to help them and their children. Angelica asked for
information about newborn pictures, and I was so glad when she reached out for
photos!
Lyla is such a cutie and I think she’s going to look a lot
like her mama. (I’m secretly hoping she’ll have her mom’s gorgeous curly hair
too!) We used pink, cream, and gray for our colors, and Lyla looked great in
all of them. She was a good little sleeper for me and we got to try a variety
of poses and outfits during our time together. Most of our outfits and props
were fairly muted, but we also had fun trying out a brighter floral headband
and wrap.
We kept props pretty minimal, but we did decide to use my
wooden heart bowl for one of our shots. I combined it with a new backdrop and
the cutest lacy cream outfit for Lyla. It was like they were made for each
other, and I love the way it turned out! I’m always on the lookout for unique additions
to my Eugene, Oregon photography studio, and it’s always exciting to try
new combinations with my collection of props, accessories, backdrops, and
outfits.
Angelica and Brandon purchased a full newborn photography
session, which always comes with the option of parent images. They decided that
was something they’d like to do, so we got some beautiful pictures of the whole
family, plus individual shots of mom and dad with their baby girl. They are so
in love with their precious little one! I loved the chance to capture that new
relationship that is already so strong.
I’m so happy that Angelica and I connected at the expo and
that I got the chance to meet Lyla and have the whole family together in my
photography studio. We had a wonderful session and it was a privilege to work
with them. Congratulations to Angelica and Brandon on their precious baby girl.
What a beautiful family!
If you’re expecting, I hope you’ll consider investing in
professional newborn portrait photography. Newborn photography is my passion
and it brings me so much joy to capture those first new days for babies and
families. Newborn photography gives you the chance to look back on beautiful
images in future years and relive those precious moments. It’s a gift I love to
share!
