Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Welcome Penelope!

I’m excited to share the pictures of this beautiful baby girl with all of you! Miah and Robert brought in their sweet daughter Penelope near the end of August for her newborn photography session. Penelope was so tiny! She was born a little bit early but fortunately was still very healthy and didn’t need a lot of hospital time before mom and dad were able to take her home. We still managed to get her into my Eugene, Oregon photography studio before her two-week mark! She was super sleepy and did so well for her session.

As well as being teeny tiny, Penelope was such a pretty baby. She definitely has her mom’s coloring and I absolutely loved that sweet little face. She was so happy to sleep and was just an angel about being posed. I had no trouble with this little one at all!

We decided to go with some really soft pinks and purples for these newborn photos. Although some of my hats and outfits in those colors were a little big for Penelope, we made it work anyway and ended up with lots of great pictures. Mom and Dad picked out some really cute things—including my bunny hat, which is a client favorite and always looks adorable.

Another client favorite, since Eugene is a college town, is my little Oregon Ducks outfit, complete with a miniature football. As a Eugene, Oregon photographer I’ve learned to keep some sports regalia in my studio so we can showcase baby’s team spirit during photo sessions! Always turns out so cute, and is a great choice for parents who are students or faculty at the University of Oregon, sports fans, or just want a fun way to pay homage to where their baby was born.

Miah and Robert joined in for part of this newborn photography session so we could get some family pictures and one-on-one shots of Penelope with each of her parents. Mom and dad are so thrilled to have Penelope as a part of their lives, and it was wonderful to be able to capture the love they all share for each other. Robert and Miah are a wonderful couple, and I was so happy for the opportunity to meet them and their daughter. Congratulations to both of them on their beautiful baby girl, and best wishes for the future!
