Is anyone else missing the sunshine? We had such a gorgeous
month of October, but now that November is here it seems like winter is setting
in. I have to admit, the foggy mornings and damp air are making me miss those
bright, crisp autumn days. Oh well. The clear weather was great while it
lasted. And hopefully these photos of Zeplin will bring a bright spot to your
day. I know he was a bright spot in mine!
Samantha and Christopher brought this adorable little guy in
for a six-month baby photography session in early October. What a cutie!
He was such a happy baby and did great for his photos—so smiley, and gave me
tons of cute expressions. It was a delight to meet and photograph him.
Zeplin is at such a fun age. Little ones are definitely
still babies at this point, but they’re also starting to become very responsive
and interested in people. Zeplin is a people-oriented little guy, for sure! He
smiled and giggled and flapped his little arms for me in that uncoordinated,
new baby way. I had no trouble at all getting him to look at the camera. He was
super interested in what was going on! He’s also still young enough to enjoy tummy
time, but I can tell he’s getting ready to start crawling and cruising around
on his own.
Mom and Dad decided they didn’t want any family photos
during this milestone baby photography session. They just wanted to
focus it all on Zeplin. That was okay by me: I could have photographed this
sweet little man all day!
We stuck to a pretty neutral color scheme—although my little
toy wagon gave us a splash of color, and Zeplin loved sitting in it! He also
loved rolling around on my bed, gurgling at me happily the whole time.
One-year milestone photos for babies are probably the most
popular type of milestone session, but I love when parents decide to capture
earlier stages of their child’s life too. Babies grow and change so much in
that first year! As a Eugene, Oregon photographer, I love recording
those precious, fleeting memories for families.
