The Coleman family was back in the studio in November and I
was so excited to see them all! I’ve gotten to know this family really well
over the past few years since becoming their family photographer. My
first session with them was when their oldest, Goldie, was a year old, and we’ve
been meeting regularly to record their family memories ever since.
This was mostly a baby and child photography session to capture Glory (baby number two) for her one-year milestone, but we did some family pictures as well. I had just done my Christmas minis (which turned out great, by the way—be sure to check them out here if you haven’t seen them yet), and they requested that I leave the snow setup I’d used so we could incorporate that as well. I was happy to do it! Amber, Grant, Goldie, and Glory all loved it! It was very popular during my Christmas minis as well. All the fun of snow without any of the cold and wet. What’s not to love?
Glory’s birthday is just a few weeks before Christmas, which
is so fun. When she was a newborn, we got to do some holiday-themed photos.
Santa Claus even showed up for part of our session! We didn’t see Santa this
time, but we did have a ton of fun playing in the faux snow, throwing fluffy
snowballs, and posing on my sled.
We decided to do a bubble bath, complete with rubber ducky,
for part of this baby and child photography session. I have the perfect
size tub for little ones. (I don’t think there’s anything cuter than a baby in a
tub. A cake smash followed by a bubble bath is a popular option for one-year
baby photography—check out the portfolio for ideas!) Glory loved tub
time, and her little grin is just the best! Both of these girls are so smiley
and happy. Always have been from the first time I met them!
It’s always a joy to have this family in the studio. Whether
it’s for newborn, milestone, or family pictures, we always have a wonderful
time together. It was great to see the whole family again (can’t believe how
fast the girls are growing), and I’m already looking forward to next time!
