Devin and Lee brought their beautiful new daughter Violet to
my Eugene, Oregon photography studio in November for newborn pictures.
What a sweet baby girl! She had the most luxurious dark hair and beautiful

This was a full newborn photography session, so it
was an option for mom and dad to join in the pictures too if they wanted. With
mini sessions, there’s really only time for baby pictures, but with full
sessions family photos are included. It’s always completely up to the parents
though. Devin and Lee decided they wanted to just focus on Violet for the duration
of our time together, so that’s what we did.
Since we were approaching the holidays at the time we did this
photoshoot mom and dad requested a Christmas setup for their little sweetie. I
was happy to oblige! It was my first Christmas setup for a newborn that year and
got me all excited for the holiday season. Doesn’t she look like the perfect
little Christmas gift?
As a newborn photographer, I keep a large collection
of swaddles, headbands, outfits, props, and backdrops. There’s no need for
parents to worry about anything more than getting their precious little bundle
to my studio. That being said, I’m always open to families bringing special items
they want to include in their little one’s newborn photography session.
These are your photos and memories, so I want them to be unique to you. Mom
brought a beautiful floral crown for Violet to wear. It was absolutely
gorgeous, and I loved the gentle, muted colors. We also used a selection of headbands
from my studio collection. She looked great in everything!
We didn't stick too strictly to a color scheme for Violet’s
baby pictures, but since all of our colors (with the exception of the Christmas
setup) were very feminine pastels they ended up blending together beautifully.
I love all the fun textures we were able to incorporate into these images!
It was a pleasure to have this family in my photo studio and
to help them celebrate the arrival of this gorgeous little girl. I love that my
work as a Eugene, Oregon photographer allows me to meet so many
wonderful families—and cuddle so many precious newborns! Babyhood lasts for
such a short time, so it’s very special to help parents capture those memories in
images that will last forever.
