Eugene, Oregon baby and child photographer: Spring Minis 2020

My spring minis were the last photo sessions I did before I closed my studio temporarily due to COVID-19. It feels like such a long time ago now with everything that’s happened since then. I’m so grateful to be able to have my studio open to clients again.

My annual mini photography sessions are a highlight of my year! I do these in the spring, the fall, and also before the holidays for Christmas-themed family photos (perfect for holiday cards) and a visit from Santa. Not surprisingly, these are also a really popular option with my clients—spots fill up quick! It’s one of the reasons that my seasonal minis are only open to clients who have booked with me before for other types of sessions.

I try to mix things up each year, sometimes holding these mini photography sessions at outdoor locations like a local park or Christmas tree farm, and other times doing them at my Eugene, Oregon photography studio. This year, it was the studio. I had so much fun figuring out props and getting everything set up!

I was joined by several families for these adorable, all-things-spring, baby and child photography mini sessions. Everybody dressed up in their pastels and Easter best, and I had spent my time beforehand getting a few fun new setups ready so my clients could choose between them. An Easter theme, complete with colored eggs, carrots, and bunnies and chicks; my white tepee decorated with greenery and flowers; and an indoor garden scene with wicker chair, potted plants, and rustic watering can. Hard to choose a favorite—they all turned out so cute.

I always snag the chance my mini photoshoots provide to get pictures of my own girls. As a baby and child photographer by profession, I’m constantly taking photos, but I don’t always get the chance to have my daughters in the studio. My niece, Harbor, was also able to make it. Love my girls!

As always, it was a great experience to get together with so many wonderful clients and create these sweet images! Minis are a lot of fun, and give me the perfect opportunity to catch up with some of the amazing families I’ve worked with in the past. I love hearing how they’re doing and watching their families grow!
