Is this year flying by for anybody else? I cannot believe we’re halfway through September already—and that Gianna’s one year cake smash photography session was three and a half months ago. Crazy! Here are the photos from her milestone photo session—you’re going to love them!
Adriana and Oscar brought in cutie Gianna for a one year baby photoshoot plus cake smash. It’s a great combination! This type of session is really popular for that one-year milestone, as it allows us to get some classic portraits along with photos that are more birthday party themed. Gianna was absolutely adorable and such a happy kiddo! She
smiled almost the entire session, so I know I wasn’t the only one having a
great time! (I loved the double top knot thing she had going with her hair—too TOO
cute!)
Birthday girl’s nursery is mostly pink and white, so we carried that throughout our photos—both milestone (with flowers and an oh-so-pretty dress) and cake smash (with balloons and a celebratory heart garland). We did our portraits first, of course. Things can get a little messy once we bring the cake out! Gianna had fun the whole time, but I think the highlight for her was definitely the cake. She LOVED it! I think she would happily have stayed at the studio all day if it meant she could keep munching on cake crumbs and getting frosting all over her face! She gave me the cutest little expressions while she was eating too. 😊 This little one definitely knows how to enjoy the good things in life!
It was so much fun to meet this little character and her
parents. I was especially flattered when I learned that Adriana (who found my
work online) and her family live all the way in Troutdale, Oregon! I have many
clients that travel to my Eugene, Oregon photography studio from more
rural areas where there aren’t as many options for photographers. But Troutdale
is less than half an hour from Portland, where there are tons of amazing
options as far as baby photographers. The fact that these parents chose to make
the two-hour plus drive to see me spoke volumes and was such a huge compliment.
