Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Welcome Nation!

Affinity and Shawn brought the whole gang in this time for some newborn and family photos with the latest addition—sweet baby boy Nation.

I did mom’s maternity session towards the beginning of summer and it was such a great session! (Be sure to take a peek if you missed it!) They were expecting Nation at the time—their fifth and final child—and wanted to do something extra special to record it. I loved helping them celebrate their last pregnancy with beautiful pictures, and it was even more fun to have them back in my Eugene, Oregon photo studio with all their sweet kiddos too!

They picked out some of the cutest outfits for the new little man! I especially loved that they went with yellow as their main color—it’s totally underrated for newborn photography and it adds such a fun, bright splash!

Although you absolutely don’t have to (I have a ton of props at the studio) you’re always welcome to bring personal items that would make the session especially meaningful for you. We included a Bible for Nation, and mom and dad also brought a red and white lava-lava to wrap him in. They told me all of their kiddos have a picture like that. Small touches like these are beautiful, and they ensure that your professional baby pictures will be chock full of memory, heritage, and family tradition!

We focused most of our session on Nation, but all of my full newborn photography sessions include parent and sibling photos, if desired, so we decided to take advantage of that. I love the newborn and family portraits we captured! What a good-looking group, right?

Such a pleasure to see Affinity and Shawn back in the studio along with all of their beautiful kiddos! Welcoming a new little one is always so exciting, and it’s even better when you can make it a family affair.

I’m so glad you stopped by the blog! I’m an award-winning Eugene, Oregon photographer with a passion for creating beautiful pictures that capture memories. I specialize in newborns, family, maternity, babies and children—basically I want to capture every stage of your family’s life! If this sounds like the right fit for you, please get in touch!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: Hattie is ONE!

Hattie’s mom, Shanna, brought her in last month for a one year birthday cake smash photography session. Shanna (yes, her name is both spelled and pronounced the same as mine!) wanted to do a strawberry theme to go along with the banner and adorable outfit she had made for Hattie. What a talented lady! Looks like when it comes to the sewing machine she is a force to be reckoned with! Both the outfit and the banner were so cute and I was more than willing to figure out something a little different to match.
