Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Welcome Connor!

Do you remember Courtney and Poul and their daughter Emma? If you missed the photos from their session, don’t worry, you can check them out here. I did Courtney’s maternity session a few months ago in preparation for the arrival of their son, and guess what? Here he is!

Connor, the newest member of this great family, is such a sweetheart! I have been looking forward to having him in my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon for a while now, so I was very excited to see him. He was well worth the wait!

We chose brown, blue, and gray as the colors for Connor’s session, and I think those darker shades complement his blond hair and golden complexion perfectly. It’s not always easy to tell a baby boy from a baby girl with infants this young, but Connor has very masculine features. He is such a handsome little man, and was so sweet and sleepy throughout his newborn photography session. He was happy to snooze in whatever situation we put him in, be it on a bed, in a tree stump, or snuggled in the arms of one of his family members. Such an easy going little guy! I fell in love with him right away.

I’m definitely not the only one who’s in love with him, either. Connor’s big sister, Emma, was so adorable with him, and is clearly ecstatic to have a brand new baby brother to love and cuddle. She is a natural at being the protective older sister, and was happy to sit with him during our newborn photography session and show him off for me. I thought it was so cute the way she just wanted to kiss his head over and over again. You can see from that beaming smile how happy she is! (Especially in the family photo—is that not the biggest grin you’ve ever seen?) I can’t say I blame her. If Connor was my baby brother, I would be pretty excited too.

Aren’t they such a great looking family? We made sure to get a family shot, as well as individual pictures of Connor with his mom, dad, and big sis. Those will be so wonderful to look back on as Connor and Emma grow. Connor obviously knows he’s in excellent hands, and with those stunning good looks of his, he fits right in.

It was a real treat for me to meet this sweet baby boy, so fresh to the world, and to spend some more time with his family. They are all wonderful individuals, and even better together, just as families should be! As a newborn photographer, that is one of my favorite things to see, and I love being able to capture some of that essence in my pictures. It’s wonderful to witness so much love in a family, and I hope Connor and his parents and sister just keep growing closer together in future years. It’s pretty obvious that they were made for each other!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: Hattie is ONE!

Hattie’s mom, Shanna, brought her in last month for a one year birthday cake smash photography session. Shanna (yes, her name is both spelled and pronounced the same as mine!) wanted to do a strawberry theme to go along with the banner and adorable outfit she had made for Hattie. What a talented lady! Looks like when it comes to the sewing machine she is a force to be reckoned with! Both the outfit and the banner were so cute and I was more than willing to figure out something a little different to match.

Eugene, Oregon maternity photographer: Milk bath with Kelsey

Kelsey came in for a milk bath maternity photography session last month. She was expecting a little boy in early November. Needless to say, he is here now! I did his Fresh 48 photos in the hospital shortly after he was born, and will be doing his newborn photos as well. He’s such a sweetheart! Be sure to keep an eye on the blog   for his pictures!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: 6-month milestone session with Lily

Oh my goodness, you are going to love the photos of this sweet baby girl! What an angel face! Audrey and Daniel brought Lily to my Eugene, Oregon photography studio at the end of March for her 6-month milestone photography session. Most of the 6-month-olds I photograph are little ones I took pictures of as newborns, but Lily and her parents were first-time clients. It was wonderful to meet them. And we had so much fun together! I usually set aside an hour for milestone sessions, but I very rarely use the whole time with 6-month-olds because they tend to get tired by about the 40 minute mark. Not Lily! She was sweet-faced and smiley the entire hour. I didn’t even want to stop at that point because we were having such a good time. And honestly, she was probably one of the most gorgeous, photogenic babies I’ve ever photographed. She seriously has the most perfect little face! She loved the camera, and the camera definitely loved her! Because Lily was so happy and cooperative, we go...
