Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Welcome Olivia!

Sophia booked me quite a while ago in anticipation of her daughter’s birth to schedule a mini newborn photography session, and late last month it was finally time! I was so excited to meet little Olivia, and she surpassed all my expectations by a mile. Wow, was she ever a doll! This little peanut is just the cutest, and she has the most amazing hair in the world! It’s so soft, and it fluffed up all over her head like baby bird feathers at the slightest touch of my hand. I fell in love instantly, and I have no doubt you will too!

We went with gray and coral for Olivia’s baby pictures. I love the coral with her dark hair, and I thought the lighter shades of gray in particular worked really well with our accent color. This was a fairly short session since it was a mini, but Olivia was such a sweetheart that we even managed to work in a prop, and we got to try several different hats and outfits despite the time limit. She was so good for me, and happy to do her thing (sleeping) while I did mine (clicking away madly with the camera in order to capture as much cuteness as I possibly could!) Now that’s what I call teamwork.

Olivia has really pretty skin and such an adorable face! I include five photos in the price for a mini photography session, but sometimes parents just can’t quite narrow it down during our ordering session afterwards, which was the case with Sophia. Looking at her little cutie, I can’t blame her for having a tough time deciding! She came awfully close though, and ended up ordering only one extra photo. I put together the collage below using the five plus one pictures that she chose.

If I haven’t mentioned it before, I love being a newborn photographer! There is just nothing better than meeting these new little ones, so fresh to the world, and being able to record those precious first weeks of babyhood. They go by so fast and while parents watch with joy as their children grow, there’s also a natural longing to hold on to each phase of a child’s life. As a Eugene, Oregon photographer, I think pictures may be the closest you can get to immortalizing your baby’s childhood, so I love to make them as special and beautiful as I can.

It was a delight to have Olivia in my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon this past month. She is absolutely darling and I’m so glad her mama brought her to see me. I was actually lucky enough to have another new baby girl come to the studio for pictures that same day (keep an eye out for those pictures later this week), so having Olivia there made it a doubly fantastic day for me! I felt like I was on cuteness overload---and in case you’re wondering, no, I didn’t mind it one single bit!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: Hattie is ONE!

Hattie’s mom, Shanna, brought her in last month for a one year birthday cake smash photography session. Shanna (yes, her name is both spelled and pronounced the same as mine!) wanted to do a strawberry theme to go along with the banner and adorable outfit she had made for Hattie. What a talented lady! Looks like when it comes to the sewing machine she is a force to be reckoned with! Both the outfit and the banner were so cute and I was more than willing to figure out something a little different to match.

Eugene, Oregon maternity photographer: Milk bath with Kelsey

Kelsey came in for a milk bath maternity photography session last month. She was expecting a little boy in early November. Needless to say, he is here now! I did his Fresh 48 photos in the hospital shortly after he was born, and will be doing his newborn photos as well. He’s such a sweetheart! Be sure to keep an eye on the blog   for his pictures!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: 6-month with Knox

It was so much fun to see Knox again last month for his six month mini baby photography session! I’ve been the Eugene, Oregon photographer for this family for a little while now, and I have so enjoyed getting to know them! I did Knox’s newborn photos when he first arrived, as well as his mom’s maternity pictures when she was pregnant with him, and they are just a fantastic family to work with.
