I’m excited to share these photos with you from a session I
did in mid-January. I had a little break over Christmas and New Year’s, but I
was ready to jump right back into it after the holidays. This mega-cute little
man was my first session of 2020—he got me off to a great start!
Kara and Eddie brought big brother Braylon and new baby
Cardin to my Eugene, Oregon photography studio for a newborn
photography session. I did Braylon’s newborn and one-year milestone
sessions, so it was super fun to see him again. Couldn’t believe how much he
had grown and changed since the last time I saw him. I always love seeing my
little clients again—even when they’re not so little anymore! (By the way, if
you missed Braylon’s baby photos, you have got to check them out! He had the
most incredible hair as a newborn, and we did the cutest lumberjack session for
him when he turned a year old.)
Braylon is an amazing big brother and did such a great job
with new baby Cardin. Two-year-olds aren’t always the best with babies, but
Braylon totally rocked it. He just loved loving on Cardin. Are they not the
cutest thing together? That photo makes me smile every time I look at it.
We did gray and blue for Braylon’s newborn photography
session when he was a little guy, and we chose the same basic color scheme for
Cardin—just with a darker blue. It worked great, and a similar color scheme
will make it easy for Mom and Dad to color-coordinate photo displays in their home.
Mom and Dad also brought in a personalized swaddling blanket
for some of our shots. Big brother had one very similar when he came in as a
baby, and now Cardin has one of his very own too. So sweet!
One of my favorite shots from Cardin’s session is the
suspended image. I love the simple but dramatic effect of the black background,
and I find that these types of images really add some flair. Don’t worry—even though
it looks like Cardin is suspended high in the air, he’s actually being securely
held only a few inches above a nice soft beanbag, with hands close by to make
sure he’s completely safe the whole time. As a newborn photographer, I
take your infant’s safety very seriously, and would never do anything to jeopardize
that. I use tried-and-true infant posing techniques combined with technology
and editing to achieve beautiful and unique images like this one.
It was a delight to have Cardin and his family in the studio.
I have loved being their Eugene, Oregon photographer over the last
couple of years, and hope we have many more years of photos and memories ahead
of us!
Thanks so much for visiting the website! If you have questions
or would like to book a session, please contact me here. I can’t wait to hear
from you, and I look forward to photographing your beautiful family!
