Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Welcome Theodore!

Faith and Garrison brought in cutie Theodore for his newborn photography session a few days before Valentine’s. What an adorable little guy! Faith scheduled this newborn session early in her pregnancy, so I’ve been waiting a long time to meet this baby boy. (Although it’s true that I get a little impatient sometimes to meet my littlest clients—can you blame me?—it’s actually great to book your session nice and early, exactly like Faith did. Doing that ensures you have a place on the schedule, and makes it easy to adjust dates if baby decides to come early. You never know with newborns!) Anyway, Theodore was totally worth the wait—I’m sure you’ll think so too!

Both Faith and Garrison were able to come and be part of their son’s baby pictures, which was wonderful! I love being able to have the entire family in my Eugene, Oregon photography studio. We got such cute family shots as well as individual portraits of each parent with Theodore. Just the sweetest.

Theodore loved being bundled, so we did lots of pictures with swaddles. I love the teddy bear picture—totally appropriate for this baby boy’s name, and of course we had to use the bear hat so Theodore and his pal could be matching buddies.

Since this little man’s birthday was so close to Valentine’s Day, we also incorporated a sweet little red heart. So soft and fuzzy—and framed by those kissable baby toes? Absolute perfection.

Mom and Dad decided on a very simple color scheme for Theodore’s newborn photography session. We used gray almost exclusively, with just a little bit of white and brown to balance things out. I love the end result! A perfect example of how you don’t need to use a lot of bright colors or variety to get great pictures. (Of course, as a newborn photographer, I’ve collected a ton of props, swaddles, and outfits in all kinds of colors, so we can create exactly the look you want. Whether your style is really bright and whimsical, or more minimalistic, your baby’s photos will look amazing!)

So great to meet Theodore and his parents—we had a fantastic session, and they truly are a beautiful family!
