Eugene, Oregon baby and child photographer: Six months with Evelyn

Happy Fourth of July! I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend and that you all get to spend some time with friends and family.

This baby photography session took place a few days after Valentine’s. Tiffany and Andrew brought in adorable Evelyn for her first photo session with me. Often the six-month and one-year-old babies I see were clients of mine as newborns, but that’s not always the case, and I love to see new faces—especially when they’re as cute as Evelyn’s! So glad her parents decided to bring her to see me, because I absolutely loved meeting her.

Evelyn was the smiliest little girl! I honestly don’t think she turned off that sweet baby grin once the entire time we were together. From the moment she came in to the time she left she lit up my studio with her happy, expressive little face. Talk about working the camera. She loved every minute of it—and I did too!

Even though she was only six months old, Evelyn was already great at sitting up on her own. Sometimes little ones this age still need a little help sitting up, so we do lots of propped-up shots and tummy time. Evelyn had no problems though. She’s clearly getting to be a big girl very fast—she even had some little teeth coming in already.

As a baby photographer, I’ve learned that six months is also a great time to get some family shots. Babies tend to be so happy and interactive at this stage of life: they recognize and totally adore their parents, and they’re not old enough to have that “my do it” independence of a toddler, so they’re happy to pose and play silly games with mom and dad. We got such cute shots of Evelyn, Tiffany, and Andrew together during this baby photography session!

Absolutely loved working with this sweet family and their adorable baby girl. The pictures from this session make me smile every time I look at them. So cute! Evelyn was a delight and I’d be happy to welcome her back to my Eugene, Oregon photography studio any time!
