Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Welcome Ash!

I was so excited when Tessa and Richard booked another newborn photography session with me back in February. I had photographed their older son, Aiden, as a newborn, and also did Tessa’s maternity pictures when she was pregnant with him. That was almost four years ago now, so it was great to hear from them again and learn that they were expecting another addition to the family. There are so many wonderful things about being a Eugene, Oregon photographer, one of which is being able to see repeat clients over the years and to watch their families grow.

New baby Ash is such a cutie! He’s got lighter hair, just like his dad and big brother—we’ll see who he ends up looking like as he gets older!

I loved seeing big brother Aiden again. Haven’t seen him since he was a baby, so of course it was amazing how much he had grown. Why do we have that tendency to freeze time and think that people stay exactly the same as when we saw them last? I think Aiden looks a lot like his daddy, although he has his mom’s great smile! He did an amazing job for his brother’s newborn photography session. He was super responsible about holding him, and happy to do all sorts of cute poses for me. I love the shots of Aiden giving Ash a little kiss on the top of his head. So sweet!

Tessa and Richard decided to do Ash’s nursery with a fox theme, so of course we wanted to incorporate that into a few of his pictures as well. I have the cutest little fox hat that we used with my stump prop and a backdrop of trees to give us an adorable woodland feel. (Animal themed nurseries are really popular, and always cute, so over the years I’ve collected several baby wildlife caps like bear, fox, and deer, so parents can easily match baby’s photos to their nursery.)

If I haven’t mentioned it—it was so much fun to see this family again! This was one of the last sessions I did before I closed my Eugene, Oregon photography studio for a while due to the coronavirus, and I’m so happy it worked out for me to meet Ash and catch up with his parents and big brother. We had a great session and I love all of our cute pictures!

Thanks so much for visiting the website! I specialize in portraiture of all kinds, but I have a particular soft spot in my heart for newborn photography. As a mom myself, I know that there’s nothing like those first few days and weeks of holding a new life in your arms—and that time goes by so fast! Professional baby pictures are the perfect way to capture those memories so that you have them to look back on forever.

If you’re interested in booking a session, I would love it if you’d get in touch! I look forward to hearing from you!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: Hattie is ONE!

Hattie’s mom, Shanna, brought her in last month for a one year birthday cake smash photography session. Shanna (yes, her name is both spelled and pronounced the same as mine!) wanted to do a strawberry theme to go along with the banner and adorable outfit she had made for Hattie. What a talented lady! Looks like when it comes to the sewing machine she is a force to be reckoned with! Both the outfit and the banner were so cute and I was more than willing to figure out something a little different to match.

Eugene, Oregon maternity photographer: Milk bath with Kelsey

Kelsey came in for a milk bath maternity photography session last month. She was expecting a little boy in early November. Needless to say, he is here now! I did his Fresh 48 photos in the hospital shortly after he was born, and will be doing his newborn photos as well. He’s such a sweetheart! Be sure to keep an eye on the blog   for his pictures!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: 6-month milestone session with Lily

Oh my goodness, you are going to love the photos of this sweet baby girl! What an angel face! Audrey and Daniel brought Lily to my Eugene, Oregon photography studio at the end of March for her 6-month milestone photography session. Most of the 6-month-olds I photograph are little ones I took pictures of as newborns, but Lily and her parents were first-time clients. It was wonderful to meet them. And we had so much fun together! I usually set aside an hour for milestone sessions, but I very rarely use the whole time with 6-month-olds because they tend to get tired by about the 40 minute mark. Not Lily! She was sweet-faced and smiley the entire hour. I didn’t even want to stop at that point because we were having such a good time. And honestly, she was probably one of the most gorgeous, photogenic babies I’ve ever photographed. She seriously has the most perfect little face! She loved the camera, and the camera definitely loved her! Because Lily was so happy and cooperative, we go...
