Hope you’re all continuing to stay well and healthy! Another
newborn photography session here from pre-lockdown days. Enjoy!
Christina brought in new baby Raelynn in late November of last
year for a mini newborn photography session. Minis are a wonderful way
to capture high-quality, gorgeous images of your little one. They only take an
hour, so it isn’t a huge time commitment, and they’re all-inclusive, which
means that 5 digital images are included in the price of the session.
I was so happy to meet little Raelynn after doing maternity
pictures for her mom and dad (check them out here if you missed them—they’re
gorgeous!) It’s always so exciting to meet a new baby, but especially so after
I’ve been a small part of the anticipation and preparation that’s gone before. Loved
welcoming Raelynn and her mom to my Eugene, Oregon photography studio.
Raelynn is as cute as they come. She has the most adorable crease
just above her nose, which makes it look like she’s concentrating super hard all
the time. Is anyone else’s heart melting? Her porcelain skin was amazing, and
she slept great.
We did some pretty bold colors for Christina’s maternity
session back in October (black, white, and magenta for an awesome pop of
color), but decided to go with a more neutral palette for Raelynn’s newborn
photos. White, cream, pink, and peach were in order for this little lady, and
we incorporated lots of texture into her pictures too. (I love texture! In my
experience as a newborn photographer I’ve learned that texture is every
bit as important as color. It adds so much depth and dimension and can really
take photos to the next level. Just one reason I keep such a wide variety of
props and backdrops at the studio.)
For me, the one drawback to mini sessions is that they go by
so fast. I could have photographed this cutie pie all day long! Love these
gorgeous baby pictures, and loved the chance to see Christina again and meet
her beautiful little snuggle bug.
