Erin, Joe, and big sister Brynlee brought in sweet Aubree
for her newborn photography session
last month. What a sweet family! Aubree is such a precious little girl and was happy
to just sleep for me while we arranged props and backdrops, bundled her in and
out of one cute costume after another, and positioned her in just the right
poses for each shot. I hope you enjoy the photos from her visit with me!
Big sister Brynlee is only three and a half, and so
adorable! She is totally in love with the new baby, and I think she’s pretty
much smitten with the idea of having a little sister. She was so sweet with her
and loved to kiss Aubree, stroke her head gently, and show her off to me. I
think she’s going to do just great with her new position and is going to be a
big help to Mom and Dad.
I can see a lot of Brynlee’s dad in her, and it will be fun
to see who Aubree ends up looking most like. Brynlee was also a real ham in
front of the camera and was all smiles for me the whole time. And what a smile!
She lights up the whole room and I can tell she is a bright spot in her family.
There was no need to coax her into doing what I needed—she was so cooperative
and had a great time being part of her baby sister’s newborn photography session. Such a sweetheart!
Erin wanted pinks and purples as the main colors for Aubree’s
session, and also wanted to tie in lots of florals. I think we managed to do
that pretty well! Using cream as our neutral helped to tie everything together
(I love the texture of the lace), and I had fun arranging the flowers and
getting everything just so for each of Aubree’s baby pictures. I’m always up
for including flowers, and it fits in perfectly with a spring-themed baby girl photo
shoot like this one.
I loved the jewelry Erin brought to incorporate into the
session as well. Although I’ve been a Eugene,
Oregon photographer for quite a while now, I haven’t seen much jewelry used
in baby photography, so I thought
the necklace was a beautiful and unique touch. It’s fun to include family heirlooms
or even new purchases for baby that children can look back on and recognize
from their baby pictures as they grow up.
I loved welcoming this beautiful family to my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon and
having the opportunity to be their newborn
photographer as they celebrated the arrival of their little girl. We got
some great pictures of everyone and they were all a delight to work with. It
was a pleasure for me to spend time with them. As far as I’m concerned, Joe and
Erin can bring their sweet girls back to the studio any time they want. I would
love to see them again!
