I had a wonderful time photographing this fantastic family,
and I hope you’ll join me in welcoming them back to the blog!
Carianne and Corbin are a wonderful couple who have been
coming to me since their oldest son, Oliver, was born and I did his newborn photography session. I also did
their maternity photography shoot
for them when they were pregnant with their younger son, Ryder, and then did Ryder’s
newborn photos after he arrived, and it has been a pleasure every time.
This great little family currently lives in Monmouth, but they
drove down last month to meet me for a family
photography session at Hendricks Park—which, as I’ve mentioned, is one of
Eugene’s hidden treasures, one of my favorite places to photograph, and home to
an absolutely stunning rhododendron garden.
We did their session in the evening so we could catch those
glorious rays of the setting sun that lend so much warmth and interest to any photography
session. It was a beautiful evening, and the setting was perfect. Eugene is
blessed with copious amounts of vibrant greenery in every shade imaginable, and
that, together with the beautiful blooms, created such a picturesque background
for the pictures of this family.
Ryder was being a little stingy with his smiles on the
evening of our session, but, as you can see, we did manage to coax a few out of
him. His smiles might have been rare, but they were also toothy and totally
worth the effort it took to get them to put in an appearance. Ryder’s big
brother, Oliver, on the other hand, was a total ham from start to finish. He
was loving the attention of the camera and relished every opportunity to show
off for it. He is quite the little comedian!
I love Oliver’s curly hair; and the boys’ matching outfits—especially
those bow ties—are so darned cute! What handsome little guys, right?
As you explore the collage we put together you’ll see some
of my favorite photographs of this family—including the top left, with the boys
peeking at the camera over mom and dad’s shoulders. It just doesn’t get much
cuter than that. I also love the individual shots we got with Oliver and his
parents—getting tickled by dad and planting a big smooch on mom! Like I said,
this kid is an adorable little goofball, and gave us lots of laughs throughout
this family photography session. I
imagine he provides lots of giggles wherever he goes!
I had such a fun time with this latest opportunity to work
with Corbin and Carianne and their kiddos. They are great people and I love
getting to know them better each time we meet for another photography session.
It’s been wonderful to follow their journey and record some of the highlights as
they’ve created this beautiful family together, and I hope I’ll be able to
continue to work with them for a long time to come.
Enjoy the photos!
