Please join me in welcoming baby Brinley!
This little angel was super sleepy and snoozed happily all
through our newborn photography
session. I couldn’t have asked for an easier subject. She is a beautiful girl,
with amazing skin and such a precious face. She just looks so contented and
happy in all of her photos—which turned out beautifully. Not many babies smile
in their sleep, but Brinley does, and it’s absolutely adorable.
It was such a pleasure to welcome Brinley and her parents to
my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon,
and it turned out to be a different sort of session than I’m used to—which is
great with me! I’m always up for something new.
Brinley’s mom and dad, Acacia Brinley and Jairus Kersey, are
internet celebrities with YouTube Vlogs and a large Twitter and Instagram
following, so Brinley’s newborn
photography session was somewhat unique in that her parents filmed some of
it and have shared both the video footage and the finished images from the
session with their millions of followers. It’s been a fun and exciting experience
for all of us!
Acacia and Jairus’s followers have given Brinley an
enthusiastic welcome to the world. You can follow Brinley’s adventures on

the rate things are going, I don’t think it will be long before little Brinley
is a celebrity in her own right!
I loved the colors Brinley’s mom chose for these
photographs. The background for most of the pictures is white, giving the
majority of the session a very clean, minimalist look, with occasional splashes
of peach and sunny yellow. Yellow actually isn’t a very common choice for newborn photography, but I think it
worked great for Brinley. It strikes a warm, summery note that complements the
cooler tones of the session and gives a cheerful, celebratory feel that is
perfect for welcoming a brand new life.
Doesn’t she have the sweetest little face? Makes me smile
just looking at her.
And I love this photograph of Brinley snuggled cozily in a
tree stump, with fluffy white and smooth peach flowing down all around her. The
different textures are great, and Brinley has the cutest expression—almost like
this whole posing for the pictures thing is becoming a bit of a bore, but she’ll
put up with it to keep the photographer happy. Thanks, Brinley! I appreciate
it.
I thoroughly enjoyed being the newborn photographer for little Brinley and her parents. She was so
good and cooperative the whole time. Her mom and dad are lucky to have such a
sweet, beautiful daughter, and Brinley is lucky to have parents who love her so
much and are so excited for her to be a part of their lives. I am excited for
all of them!
