Eugene, Oregon newborn photographer: Wecome Ona!

I am so excited to introduce all of you to Ona!

I met this sweet little girl at the beginning of June, when her mom and dad, Celeste and Kenny, brought her into my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon. Ona and her parents are from Newport, a lovely town along our scenic Oregon coast, so I was so pleased when they chose me to be their newborn photographer and were willing to drive all the way over to Eugene (about 2 hours away) for Ona’s pictures.  

Ona was accompanied by Kenny and Celeste’s fur baby, Lil Sue, who wanted to make sure that this newborn photography session went just right and that her people were well taken care of. Lil Sue was a very well behaved dog, and even posed for some pictures with Ona. Pets can be such a blessing in families, and I think it will be so much fun for Ona to grow up with this furry friend!

We chose a cheery peach as the basis for our color scheme during this session, but also mixed in some other bright shades like fuchsia, teal, and forget-me-not blue, as you can see in the picture below where Ona is napping on a swing against a background of deep sunset hues. 

We also went with a bright, almost tropical flair with this showy bonnet Ona was kind enough to model for us. The big beautiful flowers remind me of a sunny beach. The sun can be a little bit stingy about shining on the Oregon coast, so sometimes we have to make our own sunshine, and I think it worked! The effect of all the colors is so happy and energetic—I love it! And I have no doubt that Ona is going to be a ray of sunshine in her own right. The colors alone seem to show what a special little girl Ona is, and how much joy she is going to bring into her parents’ lives and into the world. 

Ona is such a beautiful baby. I just had to focus in on her cute little fingers, adorable toes, and sweet lips. We also got some great shots of Ona with her mom and dad, who are obviously so excited to have this little one as part of their family, and she even woke up long enough for me to get a picture of her beautiful eyes. I’ve mentioned before what a treat it is when a baby simultaneously wakes up and refrains from crying during a newborn photography session. It’s an opportunity for some really great shots. Babies’ eyes are so gorgeous!

It was wonderful to have this family in my photography studio. They are such sweet people (and such a sweet canine, too, of course) and I loved getting to know them. Newborn photography sessions are one of my absolute favorites to do, and I couldn’t have asked for a prettier subject: face, skin, hair—Ona is just a flawless little beauty.
