Shawna and Eric brought their beautiful daughter Teagan in
to my photography studio in Eugene,
Oregon exactly one month ago. She was a big girl, almost ten and a half
pound of pure gorgeousness, and I fell in love with every ounce of her! I knew
from the minute she came in that her pictures were going to turn out amazing—in
fact, I could hardly keep from squealing throughout the entire session because
I was so excited! I can guarantee that you are going to love the photos of this
beautiful baby girl.
I did the maternity session for this Shawna and Eric in
April and have been looking forward to seeing their little one for her newborn photography session ever since.

couple in the studio at that time I thought that if Teagan inherited anything
of her mom and dad’s personalities she was going to be a super sweet baby, and—not
to brag or anything, but—I was totally right! Teagan was very laidback for me,
slept like an absolute dream, and let me pose her exactly the way I wanted. What
a love! I couldn’t have asked for an easier baby.
I love the dusky rose and cream color combination we went
with. It is so perfect for Teagan’s skin tone, and just a beautiful color
scheme altogether, with a really elegant feel to it. It’s less girly than a
brighter pink would be, but still totally feminine and lovely. And since we
really only used those two colors, mixed in with a little bit of black-and-white
photography, the whole session is so cohesive and all the photos blend with
each other flawlessly. Putting together a couple of collages with this color
scheme was a piece of cake.
Have I mentioned yet that Teagan was gorgeous? I know, I
know, I’m bordering on raving here, and you’d think that as a newborn photographer I’d have gotten
over it by now, but I seriously can’t say it enough. She has her mom’s amazing
complexion, but just a shade darker thanks to her daddy, and her skin is just
so pretty! Couple it with those dark lashes, loads of soft black hair, and
beautiful full lips. . .I couldn’t keep my eyes off her.
It was wonderful to have this family in my studio and to be the
Eugene, Oregon photographer for
Shawna and Eric as they celebrated the arrival of their sweet daughter. They
have every right to be bursting with pride about this adorable little one—and I’m
pretty sure they are!
New parenthood is such an exciting, life-changing,
miraculous time and Shawna and Eric are doing great with it. It was such a
pleasure to work with them again, to meet Teagan, and to be a small part of
their journey as they start their family. I wish them every happiness as they
raise their beautiful little girl together.
