Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: Paizleigh is ONE!

Do you guys remember sweet Paizleigh? I did her newborn pictures almost a year ago, but you can be forgiven for not recognizing her—she has grown up so much! Her mama, Dezirae, brought her to one of my favorite fields in town, Willow Creek, for her one year baby photography session, and we had the best time! This was a mini session, so we kept it short and sweet, but we got some absolutely beautiful photos and I loved the unique look of a birthday photography session done outdoors. I usually do these types of sessions in the studio, so it was fun to try something a little different and it turned out really well.

Mom had dressed Paizleigh in the most adorable outfit: Such a cute dress, with its puffy pink skirt and flowered top, and the birthday hat was the icing on the cake. She was so darned cute, and our outdoor setting was so nice, we probably could have gotten away without props, but I brought along a couple for us to use just in case. I thought my little teepee would be perfect to use in a field, and I knew the wicker chair would look great with all the Queen Anne’s lace blooming among the grass. Dezirae loved the way the props tied it all together and added an extra layer of fun and interest to our pictures.

Willow Creek, which is part of the West Eugene Wetlands, is the prettiest spot. As a Eugene, Oregon photographer I’ve used it several times in the past and have never been disappointed. On this particular evening, the sunset gave the most gorgeous light and tinged everything it touched with a rosy gold. It was like the sun knew the colors we were using for Paizleigh’s photography shoot and decided to lend a helping hand!

Paizleigh is such a pretty baby! When she was a newborn I remember thinking how gorgeous she was, and that hasn’t changed a bit. She still has those chubby cheeks too, which I totally love, and those big brown eyes are enough to melt your heart. It was so fun to see her personality blossoming too! She is a little ham and wasn’t shy with me at all, despite the fact that it’s been a year since we saw each other—and since she was both a newborn and fast asleep the whole time, I somehow don’t think she remembered me! She smiled and giggled the whole time anyway, and just loved being silly and playing during her baby photography session.

What a treat to see this sweet girl again! Paizleigh was so much fun and an absolute ray of sunshine to end my day on. It was wonderful that she was so happy and relaxed for me, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location or nicer weather. I’m so glad Dezirae reach out to me about doing this mini session, and I love the way our pictures turned out!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: Hattie is ONE!

Hattie’s mom, Shanna, brought her in last month for a one year birthday cake smash photography session. Shanna (yes, her name is both spelled and pronounced the same as mine!) wanted to do a strawberry theme to go along with the banner and adorable outfit she had made for Hattie. What a talented lady! Looks like when it comes to the sewing machine she is a force to be reckoned with! Both the outfit and the banner were so cute and I was more than willing to figure out something a little different to match.

Eugene, Oregon maternity photographer: Milk bath with Kelsey

Kelsey came in for a milk bath maternity photography session last month. She was expecting a little boy in early November. Needless to say, he is here now! I did his Fresh 48 photos in the hospital shortly after he was born, and will be doing his newborn photos as well. He’s such a sweetheart! Be sure to keep an eye on the blog   for his pictures!

Eugene, Oregon baby photographer: 6-month with Knox

It was so much fun to see Knox again last month for his six month mini baby photography session! I’ve been the Eugene, Oregon photographer for this family for a little while now, and I have so enjoyed getting to know them! I did Knox’s newborn photos when he first arrived, as well as his mom’s maternity pictures when she was pregnant with him, and they are just a fantastic family to work with.
