This maternity photography session for Nina
turned out so well, even though it was not what we had planned at all! We were actually
planning to do a beach session in Florence (a great little spot along the
Oregon coast, with lots of scenic backdrops), but the weather was just not
cooperating for the day we had scheduled. We played around with trying to
reschedule it for a time when the weather was forecast to be more clement, but
with such busy lives it didn’t work out. At this time of year, I will always
try for an outdoor session if my clients request it, but my photography studio in Eugene, Oregon is
the default location if the weather is not on our side.
Nina had the
most amazing attitude about the whole thing and was in such good spirits for
not being able to go with the original plan. I was glad she was so flexible.
There’s nothing you can do about the weather, and as a Eugene, Oregon maternity photographer I always want to give my
clients wonderful memories of their session with me—but sometimes that is up to
them! In this case, Nina was totally open to going with something different and
knew her images would turn out beautifully regardless of where we held our
session. She was right! I pride myself on delivering a quality product to my
clients, regardless of circumstances.
Nina really
wanted to highlight how amazing her beautiful body is. Pregnancy really is such
an incredible time for a woman’s body, and I was glad that Nina embraced that
beauty! We used my flowy blue gown and a more revealing white lace one, both of
which were absolutely gorgeous on Nina. We also did some classy, suggestive
nude images and Nina was kind enough to allow me to share some of them. I loved
her confidence and hope more mamas will want to do something similar for their
sessions.
Mario and
Nina are high school sweethearts and so excited for the arrival of their little
one! They are such a cute couple and although we focused this maternity photography session on the
expectant mother we made sure to get some pictures of both of them together.
Although we
weren’t able to make it to the coast, we did manage to get a few outdoor shots.
It was a bit damp, but we ventured out into the wooded, grassy area of land
outside my studio and got some more casual images. A coastal storm was more
than we wanted to face, but a little Oregon rain never hurt anyone!
It was a
pleasure to be the maternity photographer for Nina and Mario during this
special time in their lives. I am so happy for them as they anticipate the
arrival of their baby, and delighted to have had the chance to capture Nina’s
beauty during her pregnancy. Wishing them all the best as they look forward to
welcoming the newest member of their family!
